EDTC 590 e-Education Capstone

Course Description

This is the final course in the e-Education program. Students will synthesize and integrate theories and practices learned from all courses in the program and apply them toward the development of a culminating action plan appropriate to the e-Education environment. This course is an exercise in the practical application of new knowledge learned so that students exiting the program will be proficient in constructing courses and rich learning environments for effective multimedia instruction with a variety of learners.

Topics and Objectives

Key Elements of e-Education Principles, Practices, Applicability, and Technology

  • Integrate key elements of e-Education principles, practices, applicability, and technology.

Research and Needs Assessment

  • Examine research and needs assessment methodology.

Instructional/Training Recommendations

  • Utilize research data and needs analysis to propose instructional/training recommendations.

Performance-based Objectives

  • Examine well-constructed performance-based objectives.
  • Write performance-based objectives for an instructional/training action plan.

Instructional/Training Action Plan

  • Present an instructional/training action plan in a professional environment.

Professional Growth and Development

  • Examine professional growth and development resources and opportunities in the field of e-Education as they apply to higher education and corporate training.
