Pikachu vs. Actual Pet Rodents.
Pikachu vs. Actual Pet Rodents.

This is a comaparitve article in where I wish to prove that the stuffed pikachu I bought at Value Village is much better then my degus, or any pet rodent.

Pikachu
Degus

-Cost:
$0.99 + $0.00 for each month you have one. So $0.99 within it's lifetime.

- Maintainence:
You may have to clean it if you play with it in dirt.

- LifeSpan:
It's a toy. Toy's do not die, but they could be ripped or torn.

-Behaviour:
Just sits there, sometimes gets lost.

-Interest:
Not too fun too watch, if you don't have an imagination. You can Handle, cuddle, and squeeze with no taming what-so-ever. And if you get bored of the yellow fellow, you can throw him in the closet.

-Cost:
$20.00 + $5.00 for each month they live. So roughly $250.00 - $600.00 spent in their life time.

- Maintainence:
YOu must feed and water daily. Cleaning out their cage roughly once a week.

- LifeSpan:
4 - 10 yrs, and then they die and you get sad, and maybe the emotional damage will be so great you will have to go to a therapist.

-Behaviour:
They run on a wheel, and if not maintained properly can be annoying as all hell. They bite, which makes you bleed. They need to eat which costs money. They run away which wastes time trying to catch them, and often chocolate chips to use for bait. They make annoying sqealing noise.

-Interest:
Fun to watch, unless they cower in the corner. Can handle if tamed. Cannot stash in closet if you get bored of them, I mean you can, but they are going to die then decay which will cause your room to smell bad and no one wants a smelly room. Or friends with a smelly room.
