"I'm glad you showed up... We have to talk about a few things." Kyle Timberlake said to the dark haired woman in front of her, as they stood in front of a small cafe.
Adrienne Rodriguez nodded. "I know... I'm glad you called." She said before Kyle led her into the cafe. The woman walking in front of her was her opposite when it came to looks. Kyle had light, blonde hair and bright blue eyes while she had dark, brown hair and even darker brown eyes. Kyle seemed to have an athletic body while she had her Spanish curves.
They sat down at a small table, across from each other and ordered their coffees. Kyle sighed as she looked at the girl in front of her before shaking her head. "*I've known about you for a while now. When he leaves me he wears a smile now... As soon as he's away from me, in your arms is where he wants to be.*" Kyle told her and Adrienne's eyes looked at her sadly.
"*But you're the one he rushes home to; you're the one he gave his name to. I never see his face in the morning light. You have his mornings, his daytimes... And sometimes I have his nights.*"
A cup of coffee was placed in front of each one and Kyle offered the waitress a small smile before speaking again. "*But does he love you, like he loves me? Does he think of you when he's holding me? And does he whisper all of his fantasies?*" Kyle took a sip of her coffee and bit her lip before repeating herself. "*Does he love you like he's been loving me?*"
"I doubt he does Kyle... *But when he's with me, he says he needs me. And that he wants me, that he believes in me.*" She said. When he told her those things, she wanted so much to believe him. She wanted to let herself go and love him but she couldn't... Not when she knew he loved his wife.
"*And when I'm in his arms, he swears there's no one else. Is he deceiving me... or am I deceiving myself?*" Kyle said the last part quietly, more to herself than to Adrienne. Had she been trying to hold on to something that wasn't there?
"Kyle... I'm supposed to meet with him tonight, but I'm not going to show up. I'm ending this. More than half of the time we're together...it's your name on his lips, not mine."
"Why did he come to you in the first place?" Kyle asked and Adrienne shrugged.
"I met him in Georgia a few months ago. One thing led to another and... well... you know." She said and Kyle frowned.
"The last time he was in Georgia we had gotten into a really big fight... I love him, I really do." She said.
"I'd imagine so... If I found out my husband was cheating on me I don't think I'd have the guts to call the other woman up and sit down to talk to her." Adrienne said, looking down at her hands. They were quiet for a minute before Adrienne's head shot up to meet Kyle's eyes. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay." Kyle said and looked at her watch with a sigh. "Thank you for meeting me here. I've got to go because Justin'll be home any minute now from recording." She stood up and offered Adrienne a smile before walking out of the cafe as Adrienne's cell phone rang, and out onto the street.
When Kyle walked into her home, Justin was sitting in the kitchen, waiting for her. "Hey gorgeous, where were you?" He said, standing up from the table to walk over to her and wrap his arms around her waist.
"I was at that cafe a few blocks away."
"Oh?" He said before leaning down to kiss her lips softly.
"Yeah... I was meeting someone there."
"Okay." Justin said and kissed her again before letting her go.
"Um... Do you have anything planned for tonight with one of the guys or something?" She asked and watched Justin smile at her.
"No Ky, I'm all yours, tonight and forever." Justin said. Just before Kyle walked in, he was on the phone with Adrienne, telling her he couldn't see her anymore. He told her it was a mistake from day one. Now as he watched Kyle move around the kitchen looking for something, he couldn't imagine why he'd want someone over her.
