METEOR GARDEN 2 UNCUT: The 32nd Episode

Ever wonder why Meteor Garden Part Two's ending part seemed to be 

slashed? Ever feel that there has to be a more picturesque ending 

scenes of this full of loopholes love story of Shan Cai and Dao Ming 

Si? Then here's the 32nd Episode-The Epilogue that would answer all 

your questions and relieve your disappointments.

With the song "Yo Te Amo" in the background, the night shot of 

Barcelona was shown, until it focuses on Dao Ming Shi (DMS) ans Shan 

Cai (SC) eating dinner in a romantic cafè. They walked hand-in-hand 

along the city streets and then sat down on a bench. SC showed DMS 

the video pictures she took earlier. It showed the scene when DMS 

writing "Shan & Si" on a bench. While watching the playback, they 

both laughed happily. SC said in her heart: "The bench is a very 

important place in our life. There DMS and I have discussed and 

settled the past. There we determine our future to be together 

forever."

In the playback, SC voice was heard scolding DMS: "Pighead DMS, why 

do you crave it so badly." Meanwhile, the scene of the video now 

showing both of them in the church making vows to each other on the 

aisle.

SC kept saying in her heart: "DMS heard I said I love you to him 

after we failed to see the meteor rain that night. He walked away 

knowing that his love to me is not in vain. He feels he still has to 

fulfill his promises to Yesha (YS), accompanying her to go around the 

world, while leaving me to start a relationship with Lei."

The flashback scene from earlier episode when YS and DMS going out 

together, "DMS told YS that he can only be a friend to her, although 

he will cherish this friendship forever, so they went around the 

world much like brother and sister for 3 months until YS decided to 

go back to Bhutan. YS underwent a successful operation, then she told 

DMS to find me. YS reminded DMS about the agreement she made with his 

mother (Dao Ming Feng=DMF), that after 3 months of engagement, YS may 

break up with DMS and DMF has to let DMS be with SC. DMS said that it 

does not matter anymore because SC is now with Lei, but DMS will go 

back to Taiwan to pick up YS last painting as a valuable memory." 

Flashback scene of DMS watching YS painting, cutting it and rolling 

it.

"After coming back to Taiwan, DMS met Shage and got the male meteor 

ring, then met F3 and realized that Lei and I never started any 

relationship. Lei hit DMS and told him to chase his fate. DMS rushed 

to the airport only to find just before the plane depart that I 

actually went to Barcelona, so he quickly chased the plane to 

Barcelona and found me at the bull chasing event" (Two hands with 

meteor ring clasped. Both meteor rings finally meet again).

Scene of SC and Lei walking in the village, side by side, not holding 

hands. "I told DMS that as soon as Lei and I came back to Taiwan 

again, I said to Lei 'I am sorry', I cannot thank him enough for all 

what he has done for me, but I can only think of him as a very good 

friend that will forever have a place in my heart. I feel it is 

unfair for him to give his love to someone who already keeps another 

person deeply in her heart. Sometimes Lei and I went out together, 

but no relationship ever starts."

The scene of SC and DMS walking together on the street and stopping 

in front of SC's hotel in Barcelona. SC said "Good night" and DMS 

replied the same while watching SC's back as she walked towards her 

hotel's main door. SC stopped and turned around facing DMS 

saying: "Would you like to share a room with me?" DMS smiled broadly 

and said: "I have to pickup my things first." SC said "I'll go with 

you". So they walked down the street again. DMS broke the 

silence "What do you plan to do next?" SC thought for a while and 

said: "I want to graduate first. It will make my parents proud. And 

then we can be marr...err I can help you with work" DMS said 

harshly "I think I can earn money for both of us. You don't have to 

work" SC sharply looked at DMS "Stupid, in the future we will need 

many more than that" DMS is about to be angry when he suddenly 

smiled "How many more persons do you have in mind?" SC blushed 

heavily and face d down "I mean,...family life costs a lot and I 

don't want you to work too hard" DMS smiled broadly "Don't worry , I 

will find a way, but ... you haven't answer my question yet" SC 

walked faster while DMS smilingly chased her.

DMS and SC lie down in bed side by side sharing a big blanket. They 

both stare at the ceiling, smiling happily while their hands shown 

holding together on top of the blanket (similar to the scene where SC 

and Lei shared a blanket in MG1) The camera moves to show the ceiling 

they are staring at. On the ceiling there are 5 red balloons. (Fade 

Out).

Early in the morning they have breakfast in their room while SC told 

DMS that today she has to lead her tour again and they are going to 

visit wineries outside Barcelona. Suddenly the phone rang and SC 

talked for a while in the phone. After that she looks san and said to 

DMS "Our Spanish translator is suddenly sick, and the tour company is 

still trying to find a replacement". DMS said "I speak Spanish.. and 

I know something about wineries in Barcelona" SC looked at him with 

eyes opened widely.

In the winery DMS translated smoothly what the wine expert said and 

outside in the vineyard he even explained by himself about grapes and 

vineyard to some tour members. SC was amused while watching him with 

smile. "I cannot imagine DMS guiding a tour, but he has changed so 

much since I knew him in the university for the first time. He 

treated his previous world and mine as one world with no bridge in 

between, I must be able to do so too" (Advertisement)

DMS and SC were back in SC's home in Taipei. SC's parents were very 

happy to see DMS and SC mom started to beg him to stay. DMS said that 

he has to leave to do something, but will come tomorrow morning. As 

they said to each other: "See you tomorrow", Sc wondered what he was 

going to do.

DMS visited his 3 friends from the Breakfast Van. They shared the 

meal and drank together (long scene).

The next scene was DMS with F3 and Shage. DMS gave Lei a hug and 

jokingly hit Ximen and MeiZhuo. Five of them made jokes and shared a 

toast with happy faces. Then as they were finally sitting down on the 

sofa, Ximen said: "You said you have a business proposal for us.

Let's hear it," whereas Lei, MeiZhuo and Shage seriously look at DMS. 

The scene changed to DMS alone in a quite place, thinking and then 

made a call in English "I am Dao Ming Shi. I want to speak to my 

father"

SC was in her bed thinking: "DMS and I shared a bed just for the past 

few days, but now I miss him already. I prayed that God will help him 

finding a way to work and help me with our plan." SC touched the 

meteor ring in her finger, when she suddenly remembered something, 

woke up out of the bed walking to her suitcase she brought from 

Barcelona. From the suitcase she took out a piece of paper, a cut-off 

of a newspaper. "DMS gave it to me to be kept in a very safe place," 

SC thought "What is this exactly?". As she started to read, she 

showed a very surprise look and tears started to appear. The headline 

said,

"A big meteor shower seen above Taiwan"

It was dated almost 4 months ago. "An exceptionally large meteor 

shower was seen just after dawn yesterday. Apparently it came from a 

remnant of comet that remained unexpectedly in line with the earth's 

orbit...." With teary eyes, SC looked outside her windows to the 

meteor rain light that DMS has put there. "Actuall y God did give his 

sign to approve our relationship. I just didn't have the patience to 

see the it.

We went apart just before the shower started. Still He give us 

another chance to meet and this time it is for real. DMS and I are 

planning for our future together. Tomorrow will be a great start." 

With that she closed her eyes in her bed.

DMS still on the phone, but now his mother's voice was on the 

phone: "A Shi, you are my son. I know you will come back to me. I 

know you will take the responsibility of your family's glory. Good!

I will keep my part of the bargain, but I still cannot accept to have 

in-laws from lowly class for Dao Ming family."

DMS coldly said: "Mom, I know you always can get what you want. You 

can make things happen. I am sure you will have a way to solve this.

I trust that you can do it." (Advertisement)

DMS still on the phone, but now his mother's voice was on the 

phone: "A Shi, you are my son. I know you will come back to me. I 

know you will take the responsibility of your family's glory. Good!

I will keep my part of the bargain, but I still cannot accept to

have in-laws from lowly class for Dao Ming family."

DMS coldly said: "Mom, I know you always can get what you want. You 

can make things happen. I am sure you will have a way to solve this.

I trust that you can do it."

The next morning DMS knocked SC's home dressing in suit. As they both 

in the car, SC narrated: "Last night DMS did not sleep at all.

He made his plan to develop the business of Breakfast Van. F3 have 

agreed to invest their money for the new business. DMS and his 

friends from Breakfast Van will launch more vans throughout Taipei.

It looks to be very promising business.

DMS has made with both of his parents. He is going back to work at 

DaoMing company. His parents will not hinder his relationship with 

me. His father seems to be easier to convince than his mother. His 

father said that he trusted Zhuang sister's (DMS elder sister) 

judgement on me, so now it's up to his mother to get along.

As soon as the winter break is over, I will start again in YingDe 

University as full time student. I will quit all jobs and will try to 

finish my study in one semester. I will help part-time with the 

bookkeeping of Breakfast Van business."

A car stopped on the street, SC kissed DMS lightly and stepped out of 

the car saying: "See you tomorrow". DMS waited until SC entered her 

gate before going away. SC entered the door saying "I am home" and 

was surprised to see that the house is full decorated with party 

gadgets, confetti and the table was full of food and wine. Her mom 

and dad dancing around her happily. SC asked: "Mom, Dad, what's 

happening to you two?" Mon beamingly said: "SC, finally God shows 

mercy to your Dad. Despite all useless things that he did, your Dad 

suddenly was offered a new great job. A big national company is 

opening a small branch just outside Taipei and your father was 

offered a position as vice-president in that branch. Although the 

branch itself is small, with only a few people as this time, but it 

pays well. They even want us to move into the company's housing as 

soon as possible and use company's car. SC, I think luck is smiling 

to our family now! Come, come, let's eat, let's eat."

Dad said happily, "Now I don't have to worry not to get enough to 

eat." Mom scolded Dad, "No way, now you must even be more careful 

with what and how much you eat. For all the years you hardly get 

sick, because I carefully manage your food. Don't you dare to eat out 

of control, now that you finally get a great job."

SC tried to stop Mom and Dad quarrelling: "Okay, okay, let's eat," 

but her face still showed full of questions.

SC was in her room preparing to sleep when her cell phone rings. She 

looked at her caller and smilingly happily as it showed DMS calling. 

SC said: "Hello, what's up?", DMS in his home said happily: "SC, next 

week my parents will come to Taiwan. They want to meet your parents." 

SC put her hands into her mouth and became speechless.

The scene of DMS and SC past meetings: SC scolded DMS after DMS 

refused to forgive LiZhen. SC tagged DMS head with red paper. Their 

first kiss on the boat. Both of them passing the night on the 

emergency stairway on their first date. Bruised SC cried as DMS 

hugged her (saying: If you say it doesn't happen, I believe you).

Their second kiss in DMS room. Their meeting when SC was kicked out 

of her apartment and DMS found her after placing many messages in her 

phone. They kissed after DMS gave SC the meteor ring necklace.

They hugged on the street after SC went out of the bus to go back to 

DMS. They talked to each other with door separating them. They went 

out in Barcelona and then DMS hugged SC from behind in the balcony.

They worked together in Dao Ming company sorting boxes of inventory.

They had lunch together eating sandwich. They are crying together in 

the field and then waiting for the meteor rain to appear. The hands 

with meteor ring clasped together. They prayed together in the church.

The final scene is both of them sitting together in each other's arm 

on a balcony at DMS house, watching meteor shower in the sky. SC 

narrated "Meteor showers come and go for centuries. In the past we 

were foolish enough to let them be the judge of our love. We don't 

really need that anymore, for we now have strong proof from God in 

both of us and in our family life.

"F4 still get together strongly. I once said that among those 4, one 

is not the same as the other three. I guessed wrongly. HuaZelei, 

Ximen and MeiZhuo are still my very good friends. Their families are 

our families good friends. But the one that is not the same among the 

four, the one very special to me is... DMS."
