Judgment

“I do.” Those two words together are synonymous with marriage, the holy sacrament upon which man and woman pledge to spend the rest of their lives together. Is it only for man and woman?

Lately, focus has been on the morality of gay and lesbian couples. Is it right? Is it wrong?
Nearly every person that has ever condemned a homosexual couple has been a heterosexual person. These condemners have no idea how a gay man feels. They don’t know if he is truly experiencing love or not.

So-called Biblical persons claim that the Bible condemns homosexuality in 1 Corinthians 6:11, where it states, “In the ancient church at Corinth, the Apostle Paul warned against all forms of evil including homosexual sins. "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? ... Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."

It is written right there. The Bible condemns homosexuality. It is an “Immoral sin.” It goes deeper than that.

Heterosexual people do not know how homosexual people feel. Is it really love they experience when they stand before the altar to be wed. I myself can not say. I have never felt that way. Who is a heterosexual person to judge a homosexual person to be morally wrong, when they have no idea how they feel.

The so called “Biblical” persons who rely on the Bible to judge and condemn homosexuality are hypocrites. In Judges 2: 1-2 it states, “For wherein thou judgest another thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. But we are sure that the judgment of god is according to truth against them which cannot commit such things.” Those who condemn homosexuality as immoral condemn themselves by the very same base upon which they support their argument.

Homosexuality is a controversial issue today, whether it is moral or not may never be known. It is not for us to decide, leave the judgment to God, he knows the truth.
