THREE COUNTIES CARPERS

Hello welcome to my site hope you enjoy your stay.

A little about me..

I began carping 15 years ago at a place called Stamford pit a tiny little water around an acre in size, this was a good water to learn on as it was packed with singles and a couple of low doubles but this nearly dried up so of to pastures new.

A couple of years on and a ticket for Henlow grange i decided that the 1st lake was the one i should concerntrate on as this was the smallist and most easist of the 3 lakes there. This was to be where i started thinking about my fishing a bit and used a few different rigs, the result being i started to get to grips with the lake and put a few on the bank including a lovely 21lb fully scaled mirror but only have memories as i never took a camera fishing with me..

After seeing a few fish from from the 2nd i new it was time to move on to it.This was where things got serious after talking to a great bloke Phil Cousins (pip)and listening i gained alot of info off him.I struggled for a while but learning all the time i started to put a few kippers on the bank but never did catch my 2 target fish but there still in there and still tempted to this day to go back and have a go for em..

I decided it was time to take on the 3rd lake and what a head banger this was to be as it had a low stock but a couple of 30's in it to go at,but a couple of months into fishing it the big mirror died and a double with it in some high heat so the club stocked it with some 5-6 lb carp which have grown on well. After a few fish out of the lake along came my time to catch the lakes biggest carp The Big Common at a great weight 32.12
