Lena's quiet place

Lena's quiet place

This is where I really want to put Pictures of my family. Lets start with this one,, this is myself at age 3 in front of our home on Valley Drive in Syracuse NY.Wasn't I a little cutie?

In loving memory of all our fallen soldiers.

Lets look at my grandma Shellers family. This is one of my brick walls in my genealogy. MY grand mother ran a speak easy during probition. If she got caught selling the home made booze, she would just slip the judge a bottle when she went to court and he would let her off with a warning. The women in the far right of the picture with the white dress on is my grand mother. Edith Muhlemann Sheller. Born April 28th,1889 in Newburgh NY. I believe that the women about the 3rd from the left with the black hair and black dress is my great aunt Emma. She was born July of 1883 in Newburgh NY. This women married a man by the name of John Lyle. The little one setting on the ground is my aunt Ruth who I was named after, then two rows back from aunt Ruth and second in from the left end, is my mother when she was just a little girl. This picture was taken about June or July of 1916. Making my mother almost 6 years old. Behind Mom is a girl with a huge bow in her hair, and to the right and behind her is who I believe to be my great Aunt Emma Lyle. Way in back on the end to the right of Grandma is my great Uncle Charlie Herman, and the next one in from him I think is Grandpa Sheller. I wish I knew for sure who all of them were but can not remember what my mom told me and now she is gone.

This is a picture of my Mom, Dad and oldest brother Dick on one of his leaves from the service. I believe he was about 18, Mom was about 40 and Dad was about 57 when this picture was taken which would make it around 1950..

These are my oldest daughter's babies. Her oldest Rob is 17, next is Casi who is 6 and then little Crystal who was named after her Aunt in Wisconsin, is 2.

I would not have any of this done if it were not for my daughter April.I would like to take this opportunity to say , thank you very much honey. You are such a sweet girl to help me with this. I hope you know how much it means to me. I would like you to take a look at her site, just click on the hearts to see it.
