My Firebird
Deciding whether to keep my Maxima or buy a new car was a tough decision. I needed to make a decision quick cuz I was tired of not being able to put my car in reverse. You're probably wondering how I managed to back out of parking spaces. Well, I had to put my car in neutral and push my car out or find two parking spaces facing one another and park my car facing out. It was either buy a new car or fix the transmission on my Maxima. The cost to repair my transmission was gonna be almost as much as my car was worth. So I started looking on Autotrader for a couple days and eventually found this car around the first week in October 2004 and bought it the day after I looked at it.
It's a 1999 Pontiac Firebird with every option (leather seats, t-tops, power everything). The only really major flaws the car had was a tiny crack in the windshield and my passenger window wouldn't roll down. The passenger window not rolling down was pretty simple to figure out. I knew I needed a new window motor so I went to Auto Zone and got one and it was fixed. The installation ended up only taking an hour or so.

Here's my old ride beside my new ride back when my Firebird was rollin on stock 16s. I was more than ready for the transition after rollin in a familiy sedan for 4 years.
My new18 inch wheels and tires that Dustin took off his Camaro and sold to me
Hard to believe this paintjob is 6 years old
She looks so hot topless
My car's nice ass

My Stereo
I took my system out of my Maxima and intended to use it in my new car. However, after hooking up everything in the bird, I realized that one of the JLs was blown. I couldn't have just 1 JL bumpin so I had to get some new subs. Baseem told me Brian was wanting to sell his Rockford Fosgate Punch HX2s so I bought those from him for a very cheap price. I was amazed at how much better the Punch HX2s sounded than my old JL Audios. They are so fucking LOUD!!! And they got even louder when I bought a Soundstream Van Gogh VGA 800.2 amp and hooked it up. It all worked out for the best. If that 1 JL hadn't blown then I would still be bumpin those shitty subs in my car. I mean, they're alrite, but the Punch HX2s hit so much harder, which means I'll go deaf even sooner.
My stereo now consists of the following:
-Pair of Polk Audio DB6500 component speakers
-Pair of Infiniti 6002i Reference speakers
-2 12 inch Rockford Fosgate Punch HX2 subwoofers
-Soundstream Van Gogh 800.2 amplifier
-MTX Thunder 8302 2 channel amplifier
-MTX Thunder 202 2 channel amplifier
-Street Wires 1 Fared capacitor
-Yellow Top Optima Deep Cycle Battery
Here they are...2 12 inch Rockford Fosgate Punch HX2s.
Here they are in the box Baseem made for me
The Soundstream Van Gogh VGA 800.2, my distribution block, and my Street Wires 1 Fared capacitor
This thing helped a lot. It's reading 12.6 volts and before my battery gauge was only saying 9 volts with no capacitor
