Music is taught to all pupils in years 7-9. Lessons are usually practical with many opportunities to use a range of electronic keyboards, percussion instruments and electronic recording equipment. Class singing is also a popular activity, particularly in Year 7.

Two teachers from Oldham Music Service visit Breeze Hill each week to teach brass and woodwind instruments. We have pupils learning the trumpet, trombone, clarinet, flute and saxophone.

In February 2002 Breeze Hill drummers, complete with orange and black costumes, led a parade through Oldham town center to celebrate the opening of Oldham Art Gallery. Two drum teachers visit Breeze Hill school one afternoon each week and pupils from all year groups are involved.

Breeze Hill school wind group, made up of brass and woodwind players, perform each year at the Oldham Schools music festival.
