I paint from the inside out and I am drawn in and mesmerized by the artistic method through which the imagination is visually realized. I am inspired by poignant and tender thoughts and emotions rather than rational ideas of what to paint. My color palette and sense of light captures the life, mood and feelings which hypnotize me as it reveals something that cannot be expressed in words.
My art speaks of a passionate crative process of intense reflection and perception that comes alive in pronounced layers and stokes of acrylic paint. I find myself moving my paint brush, not on the canvas but upon the image of women, imparting myself to connect with their soul and to form an intimate bond between myself and the subject matter. Therefore, the women I paint have an extraordinary presence and sense of wholeness.
My paintings invite the viewer to a visual feast of life, to contemplate imagination, a memory of love and loss. The common thread in my work is the spirit taking form through my paintings.
My art has allowed me to leap, soar and explore the person I have become and to hold the hope of delicate things to come!
