Wishers and Dreamers
Darlene McMahan

When
you wish upon a star
You will not get very far.
Wishers do not create plans,
Wishers don't get off their cans.
And since they won't get up and try,
Every wish is doomed to die.

Dreamers, on the other hand,
Take each dream and make a plan.
Dreamers know that work is best,
Dreamers seldom stall or rest.
Night and day they strive to see
Their dreams become reality.

Wishers live in fairy tales,
They blame the world
When wishing fails.
Dreams always find a way
To change the world
While Wishers play.
