SEASON'S OF A TREE
The bitter air comes blasting through
With a force so full and bold
It chills the land and leaves behind
Autumn's beautiful warmth of gold.

The sun still shines above the land
But cannot break the cold
The heat it gives so freely
Has lost its gripping hold.

We look outside our windows
So pretty, yet so bitter
The snow lays like a sheet on all
And shows that it is Winter.

But soon the snow and ice will melt
And Spring will be on its way
The air again will turn to warm
Upon the earth's ground to lay.

The trees anew, begin their life
With buds so small and round
Soon to be beautiful leaves
Forming the tree's perfect crown.

Then Summer comes in with a gust
Of heat that seems so strong
The tree will now be shelter
Keeping you cooler all day long.

The same tree stands so tall and firm
Sheltering all against the wind
That soon will come again in fall
As the new season will begin.
