Running With Thunder
Reindeer
If the world is dark,
Then I shall walk in darkness,
Wrap its warm arms around me,
And find comfort in its embrace.
If the world is false and harsh,
Then I shall be strong and cold,
Not believing in the fealty of man,
For they know not that word.
If love is a joke and a game to you,
Then I shall play it well,
And win-
For I have the strength,
Of my ancestors running in my veins.
I shall run with thunder,
And dance in the rain,
View the destruction of the world,
Like you…a game.
You see I believed it for a while,
That at least one man could be true -
Fooling my self,
That though there were many women,
You only saw me.
For every man I see,
Reminds me only of you…
I shall walk in Darkness,
And run with thunder,
Dance in the rain,
And strive with all my heart,
Not to think of you…
