Humfrey TeddyBear
Denise

There he sits upon the shelf,
a little worse for wear.
A gift from long ago,
my worn out teddy bear.
He used to be shiny new,
with chocolate colored fur.
His button eyes are
long since gone,
and there is a hole in his belly.
The closet shelf is his home,
but love he does not lack.
Never will I give him away,
or throw him away.
For so long, he was my only friend.
On him, I could always depend.
Secrets he did keep,
tears he did dry.
My faithful teddy bear.
