Swimming alone is how you start
Entering the world
With an unknown heart
You grow and you learn
And then you will be
A wife and a mother
Just like me
It's a feeling that no one
Can really tell you
Until you experience it
And feel it too
But then your young charges
Grow up and move on
And you feel empty
From night until dawn
Then you adjust
Or so that is your guess
Some days are good
And others a mess
But put your shoe
On the other one's feet
And then you shall see
It will become clear and sweet
I really am trying
So please forgive me when I'm at fault
I'm trying it's like
Doing a backward somersault
I love you and sing
And am so proud of you
I love you my angel
I love you I do
