As our Merchandising Planning Manager, you'll be responsible for driving presentation excellence in Nike retail spaces within major markets and with key retailers through our third party merchandising vendors. You'll focus on brand building efforts that are consistent with Nike's overall brand direction, manage the merchandising process and ensure the execution of Nike priorities in all markets. You'll work with third party vendors, Nike regional accounts and Nike Retail Brand Marketing teams on the implementation and communication of initiatives, concepts and priorities. You’ll also educate and influence field teams, the Merchandising organization and third party vendors toward the achievement of identified corporate objectives in visual presentation, influencing key shopping areas with the goal of higher sales volume and return on investment. In addition, you'll evaluate the required amount of service needed to drive presentation consistency and execution with particular emphasis on timeliness and adherence to budgetary parameters.
Job Skills
Bachelor's degree in Management, Retail Merchandising, Marketing or a related field
5 years' visual merchandising experience
7 years' experience in lieu of a degree
Experience with sales projections
2 years' experience in staff management is preferred
Visual merchandising and space management experience within the apparel, footwear or equipment industry is preferred
Good understanding of Nike is preferred
Ability to be resourceful and a good problem solver
Excellent relationship building and people skills are preferred
2 years' retail experience
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Ability to share ideas and develop effective working relationships that influence project execution
Exceptional program and time management, organization and communication skills
Good understanding of consumer trends, account structure and project execution
Ability to clearly articulate objectives and instructions
