Ambulance 2351 is our newest ambulance. It is a 2008 Ford F-350 McCoy Miller. It replaces the 2006 Ford F-350 Medix Type I ambulance that was involved in a crash in October. The 2008, shown at right, was delivered in February of 2008. It is ALS equipped and carries all of the required ALS materials. This unit is a four wheel drive and is equipped with an inverter, a CPR seat and outside storage. (May the 2006 truck rest in pieces)

Ambulance 2353 is a 2004 Ford E-450 box type ambulance. It is a Medix Type III and is equipped with all of the necessary equipment to help maintain the advanced life support status. It has an inverter, a large patient compartment, a CPR seat and outside storage. It also has a power litter to make lifting much easier for the crews. Two more and being considered.

All ambulance's, and the medic unit, carry a lifepak 12 heart monitor, both on board and portable suctions, drug bags that are locked up and carry just about any drug needed to help support life until the patient arrives at a hospital. That can be quite a trip now the Philipsburg Area Hospital has closed.
