If only the stars in the skies

Were a map that outlines

The path that I need to follow…

If only the currents of the seas

Were strong enough to wash away

The troubles that weigh on my sorrows…

If only the sun that brings light in to day

Were ever present and forever bright

The shroud of darkness will see another tomorrow…

If only the emotional chaos running through me

Would fade as quickly as dawn to day

The pain I feel would not be real.
