AFC-NFC Pro Bowl which was played on February 6, 2000 at Aloha
Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii. Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning led all AFC players with 187,412 votes. He was the highest vote-getter in fan balloting for the 2000 Pro Bowl with 124,346. The 2000 Pro Bowl witnessed scoring galore and controversy. It was a game in which many records fell. A crowd of 50,112 saw the game in Honolulu. The coaches were Tom Coughlin of Carolina and Tony Dungy of Indianapolis. In the 1st quarter, the first Pro Bowl pass of the Colts' Peyton Manning's career was taken back 62 yards for a touchdown by NFC cornerback Aeneas Williams of the Cardinals. Intended receiver Jimmy Smith of Jacksonville fell down on the play. Detroit's Jason Hanson kicked a 21 yard field goal to make the score 10-0. The AFC responded with the Smith's 5 yard touchdown catch from teammate, Mark Brunell. In a wild second quarter, the Buc's Mike Alstott ran one yard for a score and the Chiefs' Tony Gonzalez caught a ten yard touchdown toss from Rich Gannon. It was 17-14 when Alstott scored on a 3 yard run. The AFC followed with 21 yard touchdown pass from Manning to Smith. The scoring ended with a Hanson 51 yard field goal. The Halftime score was 27-21, NFC. Alstott scored his third touchdown of the game in the third quarter and Hanson added a 23 yard field goal. It was 37-21 after three. Miami's Olindo Mare kicked a 33 yard field goal for the AFC to open the fourth quarter scoring. Tampa Bay's Derrick Brooks then returned an interception 20 yards for a touchdown and the score was 44-24, NFC. The AFC came back again when Manning hit Smith on a 52-yard touchdown route. The final score of the game was controversial. With 1:05 remaining in a game long since decided, Carolina's Steve Beuerlein threw a 25 yard touchdown pass to Randy Moss. According to Beuerlein, the late touchdown was in retaliation to the AFC's disregard of the defensive rule limitations in the game. It was the highest scoring Pro Bowl ever. Manning completed 17 of 24 passes for 270 yards and two touchdowns. Alstott and Smith both scored three times to tie the Pro Bowl record for most touchdowns in a game. Randy Moss set a record with nine catches for 212 yards and was awarded the game's MVP. St. Louis Rams quarterback Kurt Warner (33,935) leads all NFC All-Stars, and Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning (31,959) tops all AFC All-Stars in online balloting after the first week of fan voting for the 2001 Pro Bowl. The 2001 Pro Bowl was a demonstration of the West Coast offense by an old master of the system and a new pupil. The AFC coach was John Gruden of the Raiders and the NFC was coached by Dennis Green of the Vikings. The attendance in Honolulu was 50,301. It was the second sellout crowd in the history of the game. Oakland's Rich Gannon played only in the first quarter, but accounted for two touchdowns while demonstrating the effectiveness of the West Coast offense. The first score was an 8 yard strike to Kansas City Chiefs' tight end and former teammate Tony Gonzales. The second strike to Marvin Harrison of the Indianapolis Colts was from 16 yards out and gave the AFC a 14 point advantage. In the second quarter, Peyton Manning of Indianapolis, who had been studying the offense all week in practice, took over for Gannon and didn't miss a snap. After the sides traded field goals, Baltimore's Matt Stover from 29 and Tampa's Martin Gramatica from 48, Manning hit the Jag's Jimmy Smith with a 2 yard touchdown pass to make the score AFC, 24-3 at the half. The NFC tried to get back in the game when Philadelphia's Donovan McNabb led a quick sprint to the end zone on the opening drive of the second half, throwing a 17 yard TD pass to Terrell Owens of San Francisco. But, Manning responded with a drive of his own. It ended with a 24 yard scoring pass to Harrison. Dante Culpepper of the Vikings countered with a 20 yard scoring pass to Torry Holt of St. Louis to make it 31-17 with 3:22 left in the third. In the 4th quarter, the Colt's Edgerrin James ran it in from 20 yards out with 11:19 remaining to lock it up. The final was 38-17. Named the Pro Bowl's most valuable player, Gannon overcame a shoulder injury suffered in the loss to Baltimore in the AFC championship game. He was in the game for only 19 plays. He completed 12 of 14 passes, including his first eight, for 160 yards and two touchdowns. Manning completed 16 of 22 attempts for 150 yards. Randall McDaniel also made his 12th straight start, 11 with the Vikings and this year as member of the Buccaneers. which was played on February 2, 2003 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii. The 2003 Pro Bowl saw another AFC win, during which the defense forced six interceptions. A crowd of 50,125 saw the game at the Aloha Stadium. The coaches were Steve Fisher of the Titans and Andy Reid of the Eagles. Pittsburgh Steelers's Hines Ward caught a 32 yard touchdown pass from Indianapolis Colts' Peyton Manning with 7:31 remaining and the AFC led 45-6. The AFC nearly broke the Pro Bowl record of 51 points set by the NFC in 2000. But Buffalo's Eric Moulds was ruled out of bounds in the end zone with 1:24 left after catching a 36 yard pass from Manning. Peyton Manning called teammate Mike Vanderjagt an "idiot kicker" at the Pro Bowl on Sunday.

the AFC at the second quarter and threw two scoring passes of 50

Harrison and 9 yards to Kansas City's Tony Gonzalez with :54
remaining in the half. With 4:50 to play, Detroit's Dre Bly returned an interception of a Manning pass 32 yards for the go-ahead score. The AFC scored again when Manning hit Pittsburgh's Hines Ward with a 10 yard touchdown pass and the AFC wasn't through. Miami's Brock Marion intercepted a Bulger pass 5 yards deep in his own end zone and ran it back to the AFC 22. Manning was on the move again with 1:15 and no timeouts left. He found Ward once more, as well as Colts teammate Marvin Harrison for two big catches, and an interference call on Bly against Harrison put the ball on the NFC 21. But, Carolina defensive tackle Kris Jenkins sacked Manning to push the ball back to the NFC 33 yard line with six seconds left in the game and the NFC up by three points. Vanderjagt, who didn't miss a field goal or an extra point all season, was wide right on a 51 yard field goal attempt as time expired. The final score was NFC 55, AFC 52.

which was played February 13, 2005 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Indianapolis Colts had the most starters from one team on AFC. The game started off slowly. The AFC was forced to punt away its first possession, and the NFC missed a field goal from 43 yards out. Two plays later, the AFC opened up scoring with a 62 yard pass from Peyton Manning to his Indianapolis Colts teammate, Marvin Harrison. The NFC drove back quickly, but Donovan McNabb's pass was intercepted by Joey Porter. Manning then hooked up with Hines Ward for a 41 yard score, and the AFC led 14-0.

Presented by Sprint, 2007 Pro Bowl voting on NFL.com, in stadiums and via Sprint and Nextel wireless service ended on Dec. 15. Peyton Manning threw three interceptions, the NFC's Hasselbeck and Michael Vick one each, and there were several false starts and overthrows. The turnover situation was complicated by the fact that a steady rain began falling at kickoff time, although it subsided early in the second quarter. A total of 10 turnovers, including six by the AFC, stopped many a drive before they could get started. It was the lowest-scoring Pro Bowl since the AFC's 23-10 victory in 1999. The teams averaged a combined 73.7 points in the past six Pro Bowls including the NFC's 55-52 victory two years ago and the AFC's 38-27 triumph last year. The series that went to its present format in 1971 is tied 18-18.
