I am adopted and so naturally I have alot of family. Biologically I have 4 sisters (mom's side) Alyssa 15, Stephanie 12, Hannah 8, and Madeline 7. They live in Poteet Texas and I have only visited them two times. Although I have only known them for 3 years I am still very close to my biological family. We are all get along really well. All in all I would have to say that our family is alot closer than alot of other families.
My dad's family lives in colorado and we are very close to them. In his family he has two older siblings, one sister and one brother, and another twin brother. On his side I have 6 aunts/uncles, 4 cousins, and two second cousins. Our family spends alot of time together. We normally go out to see them for spring break, and for christmas.
My mom's (kay's) side of the family lives in Alaska, so we aren't all that close. We have only been to Alaska three times all three times for weddings. She has 4 other siblings of which she is the youngest. The only reason we even know her side of the family is because they come to see my grandmother, who has lived with us since I was three. She had an 80th birthday in Idaho and payed for us all to come so we got to know each other more there. I have 8 aunts/uncles, 14 cousins, and 7 second cousins on my mom's side. Of those I am close to 2 cousins and their families, and one aunt and her family.
In my family I have only one brother, Ben. Ben is 13, he plays baseball, and loves to draw. Ben and I get along really well. Ben is also adopted
My parents went to college together in Colorado and have stayed good friends with one family, the Plymell family, so us kids have all grown up together. They are my second family. Every year I spend one summer week with Kathryn, at her house, while the boys (Daniel, and Michael) spend the week at my house with my brother. We also spent the 4th of July together with other friends from Colorado. This year there were 70 people there. We had a blast.
