Bio:  We are a privately owned & opperated Dutch rabbitry out of Holly, MI. We specialize in breeding, selling, and showing Dutch rabbits. Dutch Rabbits are of the small breed, and weigh 4-7 pounds. Dutch rabbits are often said to resemble a panda bear due to their markings. There are 6 different varient collors to the Dutch breed & they have normal fur. The fur is fine, soft & dense. Rabbits are warm blooded mammals & nourished for a few weeks after birth on milk made by the mother's body. A rabbit also has a more complex brain than other animals. The rabbit has been around for 30-40 million years. The distinctive markings of the Dutch make them very attractive. Their small size & mild personality make them a good choice for small children.
Interests:  Commercial rabbit pellets are the easiest way to provide proper nutrition for your rabbit. It is very important that your feed contain at least 16% fiber. If they get less than that, they may have problems with diarrhea. Make sure your rabbit also has plenty of water readily available. Rabbits do not thrive without a constant supply of clean water. Salt is another ingredient that is important to balanced feed. It is not necessary to provide a salt spool, due to the feed already providing enough salt for you rabbit's needs. Hay is a great way to keep your rabbits teeth healthy due to rabbits always having the built in instinct to chew & naw. Check the hay & make sure there is no mold or dust present, and make sure it smells good. Make sure that you don't put the hay on the floor because it can become soiled & cause your rabbit to become ill.
