In To Be A Woman, Harry Potter is transsexual(He's male, but he feels like he should be a girl). He lives in Surrey with his aunt, uncle, and cousin(I hope you're all familiar with the Dursleys?). He gets all of Dudley's hand-me-downs, which are generally too large for him, and gets beat up, constantly, by both his cousin and uncle. To keep his hair out of the way(especcially while cooking), he ties it up with scrunchies. It is quite long and wild. Harry will be attending St. Brute's Academy for Troubled Boys in September. The school is well known for its harshness.
Hermione Granger is Harry's best friend and lives down the street. She spends a lot of her time pulling Harry out of his own house to keep him safe. Luckly enough(or not) for both Hermione and Harry, Dudley has a crush on Hermione and will do anything she asks him to...for a price.
Hermione's clothing is simple and clean. A skirt to make her feel more feminine, but pants to let her move quicky. She likes her clothing to be somewhat loose, but not likely to get in the way, though she leaves her hair unbound since it's often too troublesome to put up. Hermione will be attending Hogwarts' School for Young Women in September.
Ginevra and Ronald Weasley are Harry's only friends(other than Hermione), though their family lives much farther away. Ron and Gin are twins. Of course, neither twin wants Harry to go to St. Brute's and plan to do something about it, if they can.
As Gin and Ron's family is so poor, they get a lot of worn out clothing from thrift stores and their five elder brothers. Gin will be attending Hogwarts' School for Young Women in Septebmer while Ron will be going to St Anthogals School for Young Men with Dudley(much to Ron's disgust).
Fred and George Weasley are the elder set of twins in the Weasley family. They have things a bit better than their younger sibilings, clothes wise, but not much. Both Fred and George will be returning to St Anthogals School for Young Men for their third year in September.
Dudley Dursley is one of the cruelest people you'll ever meet, though most of his cruelness is aimmed at his cousin, Harry. Dudley really and truly believes that he is "all that" and hangs around with gangs - he even dresses like it.
Dudley will be attending St Anthogals School for Young Men in September.
Other Places
Much to his father's disgust, Draconis Malfoy is gay and proud. He wears his hair long to annoy his father and has only female friends. He wears white to mock the Malfoy title, as he is not, in his father's eyes, "pure".
Much to his disgust, Draco is to attend St Anthogals School for Young Men in September. He'd rather attend Hogwarts.
Pansy Parkinson is Draco's best friend and lives down the street. Her family, like the Malfoys, is a very distinguished one and they like her to look perfect at all times. A rash act of defiance - cutting her hair - got her grounded for a week and a sound spanking. She currently waits for it to grow back out.
Pan will be attending Hogwarts' School for Young Women in September.
Blaise Zabini is Draco's other friend and also lives down the street from him. As her family is not good enough in Lucius Malfoy's eyes, she and Draco are forbidden to speak to one another, but do it anyway, usually with Pan's help.
Blaise wears nice clothing to fit in with her neighbors, as they are all rich and most are important to their country. Many of the nice things she has came from Pan, who handed them over when she no longer wanted them.
Blaise will be attending Hogwarts' School for Young Women in September.
A young lady with a name crisis, Tom Riddle lives in a run-down orphanage with more bullies than downtown Chicago. Tom grew up with a painfully hard life and learned how to fight back early on.
Constantly in fights, Tom is covered in bruises. Her shirt is ripped, as are her jeans. She's pierced her ears and nose just to prove she could. She always wears a pendant that belonged to her mother - it is her sole treasure.
Tom was quite surprised when she found out she'd be attending Hogwarts' School for Young Women come September.
Luna Lovegood is one of those girls that most people try and stay away from. She talks to herself and wears strange things. Don't let her fool you, though - she's smarter than she looks!
Luna will be attending Hogwarts' School for Young Women in September.
Cho Chang is a girl from China just trying to make her way in England. She is wary of men after a bad experience when she was eight.
Cho's favourite colour is blue and she carries it well enough. She hates pants.
Cho will be returning to Hogwarts' School for Young Women for her second year in September.
Iona Gates, a lone Hufflepuff who hates the colour of her hair. She wishes to change it, but her mother won't let her dye it - she likes it. Because of her hair and purple eyes, she looks best in purple, though she does try and wear her favourite colour, yellow, when her mother is not around.
This young lady will also be attending Hogwarts' School for Young Women come September.
