| Aloha! Thank you to all who attended the 2006 reunion. It was the best reunion yet! We were all happy to see the many new faces who attended for the first time this year, including Lenny Caires, Jr. and his family Leeann, Aubrey and Nathan from North Carolina. Lenny and family were not able to attend in years past because of military deployment. Next year, Lenny will again be deployed with the military and we wish him and his family best wishes for a safe return. Some other new faces in attendance this year were Jennifer Dodge (daughter of David and Jamie Dodge), Butch Guptill (Luna's son), Denny Lawson (son of Helen "Sister" Lawson) and his wife, Jeannie. Kenny Brooks (son of Claudette Brooks) was the cook behind the fabulous roasted pork! Thank you, Kenny! Donny's wife, Betsy Guptill, came for the first time this year, as well. It was also nice to see Bernie Hartshorn and his wife, Susie. The oldest member in attendance (because "someone else" denied their true age…hehehe) was Claudette Brooks. Her great-grandson, Anthony Brooks, was again the youngest. The farthest away this year were Marcy and Bob Larson who came all the way from Utah! Glad you could make the long trip! The raffle was a hit again this year with Jackie Caires winning the most items (against the hopes of her daughter Julie Fournier…LOL.) It was nice to see a few returning faces as well this year, including Tara Richards, Kate Bombard and Jim Karns, and Ray and Lorraine Lennon. Lorraine is the reunion treasurer. She noted we did well from our fundraisers. This year we raised $148!! As always, the funds we receive are placed in a fund which can be used to: defray future reunion expenses, assist a family member to attend the reunion and may someday, if/when enough funds are raised, be used to provide small educational grants to Hartshorn family members. |
| 2007 Family Reunion |  | Next year’s reunion will again be the last Saturday in July, the 28th. Next year’s theme is: The Fabulous 1950’s! More details will be sent as the reunion date gets closer. Look for your invitation in the mail next summer! |

 Melody and Brando Brown, of Jamaica, were unable to attend this year’s reunion because they were welcoming their first child! Mya Rylee was born on July 28th, 2006 at 8:58am weighing 7 lbs. 12.5 oz. and was 21 in. |  Jason Brooks and Nichole McKeen were married Aug. 19, 2006 in Lisbon, NH at the home of Jason’s father, Richard Brooks. Some of those in attendance were Jessica (JJ) Alward, her husband, Scott, and their boys, Braedon and Riley. JJ took photos for the couple. JJ’s father, Mac Keysar, was also present and said he looked forward to attending a reunion in the future. | Dana and Dennis Dodge of Venice, FL welcomed their second child, Alayna Beatrice on Aug. 11, 2005. Alayna joins her big sister, Avery. |
 Leonard and Liz Colby purchased their first home in West Burke, VT in October 2005. |
 Kelly Colby of Lunenburg, VT is a 2006 graduate of Lyndon State College. Kelly graduated Summa Cum Laude (the highest honor a graduate can earn) with a dual degree in both English and Secondary Education. | Buddy and Heather Woodbury also have a new home in Plymouth, NH. |

| Recreation Committee | |
| Linda Sue and Stu King have volunteered to form a recreation committee. They will organize activities held at future reunions. Please feel free to contact them at kingkastles@juno.com. Every year at the reunion, we give gifts to the Hartshorn family member who is 1) the oldest 2) the youngest 3) who came from the farthest away. We are looking for volunteers to provide these gifts at next year’s reunion. Anyone interested, please contact Liz. | |
