Well here we go, hope you enjoy, and even if you don't thanks for reading it anyway!
Salila stepped onto the brightly sun light deck of there two story house in the country. A bird flew onto her finger chirping a marry little song, as a deer pranced up like a lap dog, and white fuzzy rabbits frolicked in the field. All was fine and well in the land of Puffles *record skips*
Okay well this isn't going to be your traditional fairy tail of a princess and a loving prince that rescues the helpless female from a terrifying death. Oh no, this is much different, and as you may be thinking, its not about 3 orphans having a horrible uncle that tries to kill them either.
Nope this story is very different, its about 5 friends getting into immense trouble in the eyes of a killer, but who or what is it? No one is quiet sure, but two things are certain: There will be a lot of on the girls part, and a lot of fighting on the boys. So get ready for a scary ride, and if you don't get scared easily then just laugh, there will still be amusement in the story!
Salila glanced up at the sky, it was a fairly nice day, other then a few clouds that were scatted. Salila was a small girl, though for her size she is very strong. Her hair was cut short, around shoulder length and with blond stripes bolting threw the dark brown. Brown eyes sparkled from her curtain of hair, and full lips were pierced just under a patted nose. Stepping from her chair on the deck she walked to the stables where noises of men and horse alike came drifting on the winds. However today the winds were at a stand still and things felt different, even the horses felt it. The day had to go on so Salila went on trying to shrug off any uneasy feelings about the days changes.
"Hey Tim, hows the horses?" she asked a tall man in a cowboy hat, and a horse in hand.
"Not too well today, there all a little spooky, but its the weather, its makin them frisky." he explained to the young girl.
"It'll pass." she commented and nodded a fair well, then made her way down the stalls to the end one. Stopping she pulled out an apple, when she looked down to take it from her pocket there was a bang in the stall behind her and a board broke sending splinters in every direction. One of the horses had kicked in, and Tim went to calm him, but the damage was done, a piece of wood was lodged in Salilas calf. Blood blossomed from the unseen wound, and soaked into her jeans.
Gasping Salila dropped the apple and grabbed her leg in pain, biting her lip she took hold of the wood and yanked it out. It knocked the breath from her lungs and she fell to the floor. Cringing the last thing she saw was a boy standing over her looking concerned, then she passed out.
Opening her eyes the light around her was blurry and unsteady, blinking several times before she even took the time to think she cleared her vision. Tim and her father Pete stood before her, she had been moved to a couch in there family room. Pete wore a worried look on his handsome face, he was average size with dark brown hair that looked black, he looked 10 years younger then he was, but never took credit to it when someone complemented him.
"Honey are you okay?" he asked "Moms on her way, it was lucky that, the young man saw you, we might not have seen you right away."
"Wha?" she asked looking around for the boy her father had spoken about, but found none.
"He's in the other room, I'll'll get him if you want." Salila nodded and Pete got up with out saying anything more.
A moment later a tall boy around 6'6 walked in, his hair flopped in front of his face and hid deep green eyes that held worry as well. Salila bit her lip with interest, her heart pounded, and she didn't know what to say, her face turned bright red with embarrassment at not knowing what to say. Finally something came "Thanks, I'll mean for finding me." she muttered.
"Perhaps you would like some time alone?" asked Pete and motioned for Tim to follow him out of the room. Tim seemed relented to leave them alone but went with his boss.
"Hi, my name is Leo..." the boy smiled and shook her hand.
"Salila, but I'm sure you have heard." she smiled back at him, she couldn't stop looking at him.
"I'll hope you don't mind, but your pretty." he said reading her mind of having the same interest in one another.
"Well if it helps any I'll find you cute." she grinned and went to sit up but gasped with pain as she did so.
"That'll be sore for a while." he whispered and helped her into a siting position.
"Thanks, you know iv never seen you around here." she said smiling at him gazing into his green eyes.
"Well I'll don't live around here, I'll live in the city, I'll came to see my uncle, but I'm afraid he got sick." he frowned and sat down.
"I'll hope hes okay." she said hardly hearing what he had said
"Yeah, he'll be fine. You should get some sleep." he smiled gently and went to get up.
"Here," she wrote down her phone number on a piece of paper from the news paper. "Call me, please, its not like I'll can go anywhere any time soon." she glared down at her leg as if it was all its fault.
"Will do, here." he wrote down his number and gave it to her "In case you need to contact me." he grinned wolfishly and stood walking out of sight.
Salila sighed letting her head drop onto the pillow behind her, after a brief lunch she watched TV and fell back into a deep sleep. This time by choice though.
The next time she woke up it was in the middle of the night, around 2am and everything was turned off. Swinging her feet over the side of the couch she looked around. There wasn't anything out of the ordinary around her. Wincing in pains he pushed herself to her feet, going to the bathroom she had to walk in the kitchen, again nothing abnormal.
Hobbling back to the family room a light had come on, this worried her. Reaching the kitchen she found the refrigerator door wide open. Salila looked at it with an odd expression, but walked up to it. Pressing a shaky hand to it she shut it, no sooner did she take her had away did something fly at the fridge.
With a shriek she jumped back and fell on the floor, she backed away eyes wide with fright. Thoughts of a killer ran in her mind like a race horse running the track. There stuck on the door of the fridge was a long bladed knife bobbing side to side. It had been exactly where her hand had been, but where was the thrower.
"Honey?!" called Pete from the stairs, and he came over to her turning on the lights. "Did you fall over?" he asked helping her up.
"No..." she whispered "Therese someone in the house..." her face was twisted in pain and fear, her eyes glued to the knife. Pete looked at it and ducked down.
"Where did it come from?" he asked in a whisper.
"I don't know." she bit her lip trying not to cry.
After a long therow search of the house there was no one to be found. Salila however was not satisfied, she knew that it was no person. Proving so, now that would be the hard part. Her father and Tim moved her to her bedroom, but after staring at the wall for who knows how long, with a zombie look painted on her face. She silently snuck down stares, not a single emotion came to let itself known on her dead white face.
All the lights were on, yet the rooms felt some how dark. Heart going faster Salila came to stand in front of the swinging door, leading into the kitchen. Placing a hand on the door she broke into a cold sweet. This was it, whatever was trying to harm her could take another go at it.
Leaning on the door she shook, but as she pushed threw it she was oddly calm. There on the fridge was the knife, it had been prooven hard to unsheathe it from its victim. Salila was unable to move, horror flooded back into her body at the sight of it.
The room was more then silent, it sounded of death, breaking the stillness was much worse then quiet death. The blade slowly started to swing from side to side as it had done when it had gotten stuck in the face of the fridge. It became faster and faster, until with an earth shattering sound it fell clattering to the floor. Dreadfully slow it turned to face Salila, blade pointing directly at her. Before she could think of what to do she backed out of the room.
With a scream she backed up into someone, a hand flew up to meet her mouth, hushing her fear. Thrusting her weight into the person she made them stumble back. She took the chance to duck under their grasp. Flying around she looked up at a very tall man, and her face light up.
"LEO!" she yelped "What are you doing here?" she was slightly suspicious of him still, but he was cute...
"I heard what had happened and came to see if you were alright!" he took her wrist and looked her up and down making sure that she was okay, though she had a feeling that that wasn't all he was doing.
"Well I'm glad that your here!" Salila glanced over her shoulder back at the door.
"Nice to know that im so liked." he grinned and hugged her.
"You have no idea." she laughed, a number of resons ran threw her mind. "Buta im suposed to be in my bedroom." she whispered.
"Where is it?" he asked looking up the stairs. He then seemed to realize just how that might sound.
"Oh i didnt mean it like that." he blushed.
"Its okay, i understand, i dont really want to be alone anyway...come on." she limped up the stairs Leo following close behind.
Leo walked in looking around taking note as to what she was intrested in. Closing the door behind them Salila came to stand next to him. She had a boy in her room! What would her father say? Oh she knew exactly what he would say.
"My dad would kill me if he knew you were in here." she comented with out real feel.
"Well i can leave..." he looked down at her, he looked as if he was saying something compleatly different.
"No, i dont want to be a lone...." she bit her lip and sat in her desk chair. Leo plopped down on her bed.
"Feels good to lay down." he sighed "Nice bed to." he looked up at the cieling.
"It is." she smiled and was unable to stop herself from walking over and siting next to him. She knew as soon as she sat down it was going to be trouble.
Leo sat up grinning, gently he brushed her cheek, 'Yep trouble' she thought, but it was something that she was more then willing to get into. Before she knew it his lips were half an inch from hers, gently she touched hers to them. His hand lay under her jaw bone and hers behind his head, pushing his lips harder agenst hers.
Leo's hand has become dangerusly close to her brest, but a knock on the door stopped it then and there. Scrambling Leo fell on the floor with a thud and Salila hit her head on the side table. She usured him into her closet, then opend the door to her bedroom.
"Daddy!" she exclaimed and let him in.
"What was that noise?" he asked and she shrugged "It sounded like two people falling off something." he muttered and looked under the bed.
"Well i feel, but i dont know why it would soud like two people..." she cringed behind his back as he looked behind the door.
"Because there were two thumps." he said and was going to the closet. Salila closed her eyes ready for the roaring voice of her father. But it never came, the sound of shifting hagers and the sound of the door closing was all that came.
"There was no one else in here, satisfid?" she asked as he took one last glance around for a hiding place he might have missed.
"No not really but i trust you, im going to talk with the police let them know some ones out there throwing knifes." Salila nodded and closed the door behind him. Then ran to the closet she didnt see Leo anywhere.
"Leo?" she whispered. A small caugh came from over her, looking up she came face to face with Leo. His muscles rippled as he held himself up out of sight.
"Oh shit!" she yelped and helped him down, trying to be quiet at the same time.
"Thanks." he whispered and took a look around before getting too comphertable.
"You should go..." she frowned not wanting him to leave.
"I suppose..." his deep green eyes were sorrow, but he leaned in and kissed her. "Call." he reminded her and he went to window. Looking to the sky a flash of fear crossed his face but he turned to her with a soft expretion "Good Night." he said and jumped down like a cat from the two story building. Salilas jaw dropped and she ran to the window to see if he was okay, but only saw a shadow moving into the darkess.
A week flew by nothing weird happend, no two headed dogs or flying knifes. All was quiet on Moonlight Ranch Salila had yet to call Leo after his jump, she was afraid he was hurt and didnt want to explain to anyone that he jumped off her house. But she also worried that if she didnt call Leo would think she didnt like him, and that was far from the truth.
Taking the phone in hand she ran up stairs to get his number. Finding it on her side table she sat down on her bed. With shakey hands she dialed to numbers, it rang *briiiiiiiiing* five times and a female voice answered.
"Hello?"
"Um, is Leo there?" Salila muttered heart now pounding in her chest.
"Yes, my i ask whos calling first?"
"Salila Forester...um i met him when he came to see his uncle..." she had no other way of explaining how they met.
"Oh okay, hold on." and in the back ground she could hear the womans shouting for Leo to pick up the phone.
"Hello?" Leo's voice said briskly, and the other line in his phone hung up.
"Hi, its Salila." she said shakely.
"Hi! I was hoping that you would call soon." his voice held a smile and she could see an image of him in the back of her mind.
"Sorry i didnt call earlyer, its just chaos around here." that was only half true, but she didnt know how to tell him that she thought he had been hurt.
"Oh thats okay, not a big deal. So no more knifes?" he was grinning now, she closed her eyes and saw his face grinning back at her.
"No, and its a good thing to, i dont know how much more excitment i can take." she laughed.
"I dont blame you." he chuckled and they feel silent for a moment.
"You want to hang out some time?" Leo asked suddenly
"Ohhh Leo's got a girl friend Leo's got a girlfriend!" came a young girls voice.
"Sue!" Leo growled "Hold on Salila can i call you back on my cell?" he asked
"Sure." she laughed
"Okay call you back." and he hung up, Salila followed and almost instantly it rang again. Quickly she answered....
They disided on going to the ice rink, at 7pm on Saturday. The days dragged on but the night finally came and Salila paced her room waiting.
