I have been a fan of the Friday the 13th series for more than a decade. I have seen the movies in theaters, bought them on VHS, and even purchased some of the other Friday the 13th memorobilia and merchandise. While I appreciate the fact that the films have now been released on DVD, I must say that I am disappointed with their current packaging and lack of features. With this in mind, I have not yet purchased the Friday the 13th discs.
I realize that it could be rather costly to produce Special Editions of all the films in the franchise, so I won't ask for that today (though I will keep my fingers crossed that it may happen in the future). Instead, my intention is to request a Friday the 13th Box Set featuring all eight films. The lack of features provide no real incentive for me to pay twenty dollars apiece for the discs, so until the series receives better DVD treatment I am going to hold onto my money. I sincerely hope that Paramount is able to come through for the fans with an adequately priced Box Set.
