Hi Folks, a nice article in today's NYTimes, about the physics of the hit.So, a possible article for the report...check it out at
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/31/sports/football/31hit.html?hp
NOTE: There are few numbers in this article, but taking a "hit" like Clark McGahee from video and doing the forensics to determine the peak deacceleration, etc. would be a very interesting start to a great report.
Hi All, Before the end of class today I forgot to give you all the HW for Wednesday. It is 2, 6, 34, 42, 53 from chapter 3. For number 6 please do it numerically as well as graphically, as else it will be very hard to grade.
Additional problems assigned but not to be graded are 12, 31, 40, 51 from Chapter 3. That's it! -mike
Hi All,
two students have asked me what the HW was...the HW that was due Friday before the snow days. It is problems 1, 10, 44, 50, 53 from Chapter 1. I am also recommending you study problems 15, 26, 39, 41, 43, 60 from Chapter 1 but I will not correct and grade those. Talk with you soon, -mike
