Here is a simple picture of a fire extinguisher. I used a plastic wrap texture effect, and adjusted the brightness and contrast of the image to make it more interesting. |
This is a picture of a flight of stairs in the school. There is a lot of contrast in this picture, along with some color distorting effect. I was trying to make the viewer feel as if the stairway led to some mysterious place, which comes from the light at the bottom.

This is a top-down picture of the stairwell. The grates on the side of the stairs and the angle of the picture make it very surreal. I played on this with the contrast, an ink splotch effect that distorted the picture a little, and the color coming from one of the grates. Again, I was trying to get the viewer to think.

Here is a promotional poster that I created for a local festival. I used a a black-white effect on the guitar, which was originally colored. This picture also exhibits a lot of the text possibilities that Photoshop has to offer.

We were required to create an image on something that we enjoyed, so I chose snowboarding. This particular image shows much of the Photoshop potential. The snowboarder was cropped from a completely different image and pasted in to the image behind him. I also used a dissolve effect to make him look like he's fading into the background, giving the image yet another surreal effect. The background itself was made into black-and white, and the sky was created with a pre-rendered pattern from Photoshop.

This image was meant to express a specific emotion. I obviously chose to express anger. Continuing with my surreal style, I chose to have angry cartoonish bubbles coming form my head to express the emotion, as well as adding word art to directly tell the viewer. I was in a bad mood when the picture was taken, which is why I chose it for this particular emotion.
