It

The ancient house creaks and groans
As the old woman rock’s, sitting alone,
These many long years late at night
Her trembling body shakes with fright.

It roams the hallways and cold rooms,
She knows for her it will come soon.
She has never seen this evil from Hell
But she knows it’s there all too well.

From the bowels of the earth It came,
A demonic demon with no name
Possessing the home of the old widow
Flitting through rooms casting no shadow.

Foul sour odors it leaves behind
As it performs deeds most unkind.
The air chills as it goes here and there
Stripping the rooms to lay them bare.

Screams all night fill her with terrors
As it darts around shattering mirrors.
Moans, groans and voices she hears
Filled with crazed madness and fears.

At last upon a dreary midnight hour
She witnesses the evil of it’s power.
It came from the wall, stepping through
Screaming “old woman I’ve come for you”.
