Drowning In Despair

Oh Lord, 

hear my cry tonight,
 give me a sign, 

that everything will be all right.

  The storms of life 

are pounding heavily upon my door,

 fierce dark waves of despair 

are rolling over me like never before.

 As the waters rise higher and higher, 

my body sinks deeper and deeper.
 I am losing the will to fight, 
there is no hope in sight.

 Lord, if it be Your will, 
calm the storm

 that rages within my soul, 

and make me whole again.
