Adding HTML To Your Posts

HTML Code can be used in the Message area when posting to enhance the appearance of your post. This is a little help for beginners. Just make sure that you have the right URL (place in the internet where your data is stored) and that you close all of your commands. I.W.F cannot host picture or sound files for you if you do not have space to host them for yourself.

Rules for using HTML on the I.W.F Forums:
When using HTML, become familar with it by using the HTML Test board provided. Nobody wants to see repeated failed attempts and broken links to images in your posts.

Do not link to any copyrighted material or inappropriate graphical or sound material. For copyrighted material, the first offense will cause you to job. For inappropriate material or a second offense on copyright material, the penalty is instant dismissal from I.W.F's Roster. I.W.F deems what is appropriate or inappropriate for publication in posts.

Be advised there are ways we can tell who posted any particular message.

Do not include HTML in the subject line of your post:
Penalty for the first offense is jobbing to your next opponent, while the second penalty is dismissal from I.W.F.

Font Size:
Do not make the font size too large. If you are uncertain of how large it is going to be, test it on your own computer prior to posting the message on I.W.F's forums. Too large is anything that the staff has to fix so that people can read it, or is annoying to read because of size.

Text:
Below you find plenty of information on how to do cool things with your text. Make sure you don't get too fancy. Remember, the content of your RP's are far more important than the appearance.

Finally, any asterisk "*" you see in the code below needs to be removed to make the html codes operational.

<*font color = "YOUR COLOR"*> YOUR TEXT <*/font*> changes the colour of your text

<*i> YOUR TEXT <*/i> writes your text in italic letters

<*center> YOUR TEXT <*/center> places your text in the center of the screen

<*b> YOUR TEXT <*/b> writes your text in bold letters

<*h1> YOUR TEXT <*/h1> makes your text too big

<*h2> YOUR TEXT <*/h2> makes your text big

<*h3> YOUR TEXT <*/h3> makes your text a little bit bigger than normal

<*h4> YOUR TEXT <*/h4> makes your text smaller

<*h5> YOUR TEXT <*/h5> makes your text too small

Font Colours:

Don't use colours that contrast badly with the color of the boards. Test them on the HTML Test board if you haven't used them before.
