Start your quest at 'The Counts Arms' by talking to Velwyn, he offers to sell you Benirus' Manor for 5000 Gold! You need to pay him the money to start the quest. Once you buy the manor off him he gives you the deeds of ownership and the key to the house then takes off. You will get the 'Where Spirits Have Lease' Quest update. Head on over to Benirus' manor; exit the Counts Arms and go left down the road to the broken down old mansion... Enter the manor, goto the second floor and rest.... the next time you wake up you will be attacked by several ghosts. Kill the ghosts with either silver weaponry or magic and goto the first floor, next to the wardrobe in the main hall will be a green glowing hand & a torn diary entry, pick them up and you will get a quest update... "I've found a skeletal hand next to a page from a diary. The diary makes mention of a secret room in the house that only a true-blooded Benirus can open. I am going to need to talk to Velwyn about this. I may have to ask around town to find out where he's gone."                          Ask around town for Velwyn then goto the Imperial City - Elvaan District.. "I believe I heard a Benirus is in town. You should check out the Elven Gardens District. A Benirus wouldn't be seen anywhere else." Velwyn is staying at the King and Queen Tavern, being the last true blood of the benirus family he will decide to help remove the curse on the house. Once Velwyn gets back tell him your ready and follow him to the manor, he will make his way to the basement and open the sealed portal for you... Once done you will get another quest update and the house will be silent. " Lorgren Benirus was a strange old man, always dabbling and experimenting with magic.He was mostly harmless, until the fateful day he came across a tome bearing the evil magic of necromancy.He became obsessed and decided that by using necromancy, he could prolong his own life.The dark arts contained in the tome called for him to dig up the recently deceased in the nearby crypts under the cathedral.When it was discovered that he did this, the Mages Guild called for a quick meeting to decide what to do. It only took minutes to decide.Led by a young upstart named Carahil, the Mages Guild stormed Benirus Manor and slew Lorgren. However, amid the chaos, his body vanished.Because of this, the people of Anvil concluded the manor must be cursed. You are the first person to set foot inside in a long time."          Down the basement; past the sealed portal is Lorgren Benirus' resting place. Activate the alter, Lorgren Benirus will speak, he wants you to place his hand on his body so he can rest in peace. Once hes finished talking press activate on him to give him back his hand.
