Country Girl Horse Sales & Rescues

Hope has passed away. Putting on weight caused an act up of a very serious underlying problem. Kidney failure. We are only happy that her last weeks were spent in our care, being treated exactly with the medications and treatments the veterinarian prescribed. Being talked to and groomed daily, being taken out on lead to graze in the front yard. We all mourn for her, and we will miss her talking at us everytime she saw us. Please, please do NOT let any animal get this bad. If you see any animal in this condition please contact authorities! Thanks for reading..

If you are a horse owner no longer able to care for your horse, PLEASE do NOT let it get this bad!! Contact us! This is months and months of neglect. Hope is a 15 year old Quarter Horse with no papers. Her age was determined by our veterinarian. her teeth did NOT need floating. Hope's hooves are in great shape they've been kept trimmed. No horse or any animal deserves this. Don't wait! More pictures below all will be dated. Hope's progress will be documented with photo's that we will post week to week. Upon picking her up on 4.13.11 we rushed her to our veterinarian in Lebanon, Missouri, Dr Leon Jenkins. She is on daily shots of Vitamin B, We've wormed her, she is on a special diet on quality hay and a mixture of (alfalfa pellets, 15% protein pellets, and sweet feed. One cup of each mixed together fed EVERY 4 hours. Hope has not gone down at all on us, she is eating, drinking, and using the restroom properly. So her organs haven't failed as far as we can see so far. Her name is Hope which is very fitting. :) She has perked up quite a bit and talks to us everytime we enter the barn. More pictures to come soon! Week by week we are hoping to bring her back. Please please do not let your animals ever get this bad. Don't wait until it's too late.

Thank you for taking a look at hope and reading. Hope was rescued from the Vichy area.
