1999 September: Quinlan - Monthly Activity - proper behavior within a meal time setting - helping others during meal time October: Greenville - Monthly Activity - track and field competition - all are winners - attitude is everything November: Wills Point - Monthly Activity - cooperative learning within a physical education setting with general education students - teamwork - meeting new friends - introducing ourselves December: Quinlan - Monthly Activity - Christmas Party - exchanging gifts - sharing with others - learning to skate and tie shoes - Santa Clause made an appearance 2000 January: monthly activity - Cancelled due to weather 25 February - Greenville - Monthly Activity - Winter Carnival - Students with special needs will participate in twenty-five carnival events. Prizes will be given at each event. Students will be assigned "buddy partners" from the student government and PALS from Greenville HS and Quinlan HS. - description of events - schedule of events March 24: Bonham – Monthly Activity - The Bonham High School Drama Department presents, "The Canterbury Tales from the Wife of Bath" – lunch in the park April 6: Greenville – KGVL Radio Station Tour – pizza on the lawn April 7 - Pittsburgh - Special Olympics Local Competition April 14: Quinlan – Monthly Activity – volleyball training April 15 - Commerce - Special Olympics - Local Competition April 28-29 - Richardson - Regional Qualifications May 5 - Greenville - Monthly Activity - Victory Dance - 7-10 P.M. - everyone has a good time - celebrating the end of a great year, our graduating seniors, classroom accomplishments, and those in Special Olympics May 12: Greenville – Catfish farm – fishing trip May 17: Special Olympics Pep Rally - Greenville H.S. Gym - homeroom period May 19: Dallas – Tour Mrs. Bairds’ Bakery – learn to order from a menu at a restaurant - cancelled May 23: Class Reunion - All past graduates from our classroom (self-contained) welcome! May 25-28 - State Finals - Arlington, Texas
