This project was created for the Self-Contained
Class of Greenville High School
- a class for the mild to profoundly disabled students.
Objectives:
- Communication Tool
- Research / Reference Aide
- Promotion of Special Education Concepts
We incorporate a team approach toward the teaching
process. Together, we instruct 30 students with varying
disabilities. Students attend self-contained classes, such as Math,
Science, Personal Marketing, Citizenship, Applied Daily Living, Life Skills,
Recreational Leisure, Work Crew Training, Personal Health and Hygiene, Language
Arts, and a structured TEACH program.
Some attend further studies in the Resource Math
and Resource Language Arts / Reading Lab Program.
Others attend main stream classes, such as Bible,
Choir, Physical Education, Home Economics, and the Coop Program.
