roasting in an oven-cooking bag
: In a turkey-size oven cooking bag, shake 1 Tablespoon all-purpose flour. (The flour prevents the oven bag from bursting.) Place bird in the oven bag. Place the bird, breast side up in a large 2-inch deep roasting pan. Close the oven bag with a nylon tie. With a sharp knife, cut six 1/2-inch-long slits in the top of the oven bag to allow steam to escape. Insert a meat thermometer into a thigh muscle through a slit in the bag. Roast according to chart.
