Islam is the religon which is spread in the world by Hazrat Muhammad  . Before Islam the Arabs are livings in the darkness they did'nt have any values .They believe the idols which they make by themselves and consider them their gods.When Islam started to spread in Arabs the all become against of the Islam and preachings ,they did'nt believe on the Oneness of God they have different a lot of gods for different things .They always quarrel with each other and did'nt live with peace, they always remain ready to fight with each other.They are very cruel master for their servants and treated them very badly They did't give any importance or values to poors and orphans ,the wealth and the power were the more supreme things for them then the human values .
They are very use to play gambling and drinking they did'nt know the importanceof the time which they waste in their bad habits.They have no importance of the women  they did'nt give them any importance and respects .When Islam started to spread in Arab they feel that it come in the way of their freedom which they didn't want to lose at any cost.
Their bitter opposition caused the Prophet  much agony and o lot of trouble ,but in end the victory is get by Islam and its preaching spread all over the world.
 

Islam give the fully idea and concept to spent the life in better manner in every aspect of life .Hazrat Muhammad  gives the practical example to spend the life.The define the rights of every ones.They first give the message of Allah that:

    "Their is noGod except Allah and Hazrat Muhammad  is His last Prophet"
and its preachings and their bitter opposition caused the Prophet  much agony and a lot of trouble.Their oppositions to Islam became so fierce and terrible that the Muslims had to migrate to Madina.In 622 A.D. migration took place and migrated to Medina This event is known in history as "Hijra".He said:
   

     In Medina,the Prophet   founded an Islamic Society which based on the three basic principles that were:

• All power belongs to God.
• Hazrat Muhammad  is His last Prophet.
• All Muslims are brothers to one another.

"Islam is based on five pillars: to declare that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad  is the messenger of Allah, to establish prayers, to pay the zakat, to perform pilgrimage and to fast in Ramadan."

Kalima-e-Tiyyaba is :

So we can say that there are five pillars of Islam.

1. Tauheed and Belief in Muhammad 
2. Salat (Prayers)
3. Zakat                                                                                    
4. Fast
5. Hajj

     The main characteristics which distinguish Islamic society are as under :
 

• Justice.
• Equality.
• Fraternity.
• Tolerance.
• Sovereignty In Islam.
