Uganda is situated in the East of Africa and is famous of it's nature, Mountain Gorillas and the River Nile. But also of it's Rebels, danger and Idi Amin. But there are more important things, the people who live there. A country can be so beautiful, but how you feel in a country depends on the local people. And they are very nice in Uganda. There is a lot a negative news about Uganda but overall it a save and good country to travel, espesially with a backpack.
Uganda has an area of 236,580 sq km, of which about 25% is fertile land capable of providing a surplus of food. Lake Victoria and the Victoria Nile, which flows through much of the country, together create one of the best watered areas of Africa. The land From semi desert in the north-east to the lush and fertile shores of the lake, the Ruwenzori Mountains in the west and the beautiful, mountainous south-west. The tropical heat is tempered by the altitude, which averages over 1000m.
