Genealogy
of Meedhoo
began with its original settlers of Indo-Aryan group.
Centuries after the original settlers came, an Arab Traveller
by the name of Yoosuf Naib, converted the people of Meedhoo
into Islam and settled himself in Meedhoo.
After that the people of Meedhoo gave a high respect to
their ancestors and preserved their genealogy starting with Yoosuf
Naib's paternal great grand father El-Faqeeh Sulaiman
Qadir.
Most
of the known progenitors of Meedhoo
genealogy belonged to nine houses or clans, out of which seven
clans are nobles and two are of lower class.
