                                        Good readers of Redbread Comics,

Doubtless you have heard of the numerous exploits and adventures of J. J. StClaire.  Obviously the recitation of all of his adventures would fill volumes.  Among the most famous of his exploits include his peace talks with the Yummen cannibal tribe deep in the Amazon, his discovery of the rare and endangered J-Jay bird, and his great excursion through the Golden Plains of the Himalayas.  J. J. StClaire was born in a small village near the great Mississippi River.  When he was seven years old he won the “Best Nature Drawing” at the Henderson Street First Baptist Summer Camp.  Naturally he pursued his emerging talents and at the young age of 16 dropped his secondary school studies and accepted a scholarship to the acclaimed Wayne’s School of Drawing.  He acquired his taste for traveling the globe at 22, when his position at the local air filter factory was moved to Mexico.  And the rest is History.  You are fortunate indeed to be able to relive his adventures here on these very pages.  For these stories are inspired by actual events in the life of J. J. StClaire; artfully illustrated and penned by his very own hand!  So remember this, faithful reader, as you sit on the edge of your seat, cringing in fear for the fate of our daring hero in his latest adventure, if its here to read, Redbread lives!
