A Renaissance Tale
Mood:  flirty
Now Playing: I wouldn't want to be like you...Alan Parsons

The Baron and the Baroness once seemed happy together. They owned and managed a demesne and the castle on it.
They went through some tough times. They achieved many goals. They raised 3 wonderful children. She was a wonderful caregiver and he saw to most of their outdoor activities while she stayed home.
He imbibed in substances and she was opinionated and controlling. These things eventually wore them down. Over time she became disenchanted and he sought out his substances for escape. She eventually consorted with a rogue as an escape herself. She sent the rogue gifts and the Baron found out. The faith of the marriage was lost and the Baron never trusted the Baroness again. The Baroness had already lost faith because she sought promises from the Baron he didn’t keep.
Eventually the Baroness left the Baron. She told the Baron she wanted to remain friends and the Baron agreed. The Baroness acted sincere but in her heart she had a hidden agenda to end up with the rogue as a mate. She thought she would put on an act, feigning to have interest in others, putting time between the revelation to the Baron that she would bring him to be with her.
The rogue was a scoundrel. He spent his time complaining about others. Most vile though, he published crude things about the Baron. These terrible acts created problems which could never be fixed.
When the Baroness revealed her plans to the Baron, the Baron told her he would not remain her friend, and read her like a book knowing that she would do as he expected.
Having her friendship spurned, the Baroness became hateful. The Baroness exercised her wrath by corrupting their children against their father. The Baron had kept the demesne and the castle as he was more able to manage their upkeep for the sake of the children.. The Baroness insulted and spoke down about the people the Baron befriended after having left from the Baroness. The Baroness now sought to pry the castle from the Baron even though she could not have it. In her dark heart the Baroness always waged a bitter battle against those whom had offended her. Her hatred burned like coal.
The Baron had seen this eventuality too. He strengthened his walls. He put stores in his keep for a long battle. He made plans to not lose and to show the Baroness how successful and happy he was now that she was gone.
The Baron in the meantime had met the Baronette, a more petite attractive form of a Baroness. She too had problems from a relationship. They each had their own demesne and castles but one day are considering consolidating their assets.
The Baroness still attempts to chip away at the Baron’s resolve, but in vain.

Next, enter the sappers. The Baron has created many false hidden entrances to ensnare these sappers….More to come.

Name: Your Benrikian Lover

very creative story, baron.
i would like to hear more about the love story between you and the Baronette...sounds like it would be happier than the other part of the tale. will they live happily ever after? somehow that sounds much more romantic than "consolidating their assets" (laugh) are you romancing her, or planning a business merger?
i'm sure that while she is definitely more petite and WAY more attractive, she's definitely NOT any form of the evil baroness!
please, tell us more!
