Where in the "YAYA" is Bayou Wisconsin?

Located in the heart of the Dairy State, Bayou is exemplary of small town USA with a Cajun twist (kind of like putting hot peppers in your oatmeal). It's a unique blend of down home cooking, foot tapping music and generous hospitality attracts thousands of visitors year after year. Well....maybe one or two visitors, the numbers would be higher but for some reason, the active volcano on the edge of town seems to scare most people away.

Zombie Todd

Zombie Todd has a great attitude and out look on life. Give him lemons and he’ll make lemonade. Zombie Todd works at Gimpy’s Bowl-a-Rama as a bowling ball delivery boy. Zombie Todd has spirit, a lot of spirit, more than most of the people in bayou, which sometimes gets him into trouble.

Likes: Bowling, Gumbo, Zydeco Music & Amber Waves

Dislikes: Mean People

Gimpy & Ojo
Gimpy is a salty old dog who together with his best friend Ojo the parrot own and run Gimpy’s Bowl-a-Rama. Gimpy & Ojo spent their formative years aboard the SS Putrid, a garbage scowl that sailed the scary waters of Lake Erie.

Likes: The high seas and a full bowling alley.

Dislikes: Street shoes on the lanes.

If you're looking for a good time, why don't ya check out what's happening at Gimpy's? On Saturday nights it's "The Battle of the Bowlers" where you can match your skills against local celebs like Striker Joe, The Bowlerinas and The Ball Hoggs who are always willing to show off their championship winning skills. Just watch yourself when the bowling pins start flying. Or if you're free on Friday night, have a few laughts at the Cornball Comedy Room nestled snugly in the rear of Gimpy's.

Gimpy and his parrot Ojo will personally serve you some of the best Eatin' in town; try the Alligator Fritters, the Bucket-O-Cheese or if you're feeling really daring, try Ojo's famous Ojo Loco Gumbo, guaranteed to spice things up.

Amber Waves

Amber is the girl next door. Sweet as the ears of corn that grow in the fields of Bayou and as pretty as the peppers that grow along side them. The lovely Amber works for the Earfull Corn Corporation and aspires to one day grow an ear of corn big enough to feed an entire town there by ending world hunger.

Likes: Peace, Flowers, Love and Ice Hockey.

Dislikes: Fighting, Selfishness and Greed.

Mac & Cheese

Mac & Cheese, not the brightest people in Bayou but big hearted. Mac & Cheese have been friends since the day they were born and together with Striker Joe and Zombie Todd, they make up Team Gimpy, the toughest bowling team in Bayou. Mac & Cheese are constantly striving to improve on their gumbo recipe and hope one day to put Big Mama Mojo’s Rajun Cajun Gumbo out of business.

Likes: Good Gumbo, Bowling and Hot! Peppers.

Dislikes: Bad Gumbo, Not Bowling and Regular Peppers

Striker Joe

Striker Joe, with a left arm that’s bigger than a leg is the most feared bowler in Bayou. He has shattered more pins than there are peppers in the fields. If extreme bowling existed, he would be the poster boy.

Likes: Strikes and working on his massive left arm.

Dislikes: 7-10 splits.

Simon

Simon is pure nasty. He is a selfish narcissist with an unending supply of money. Secretly, Simon is the Big Mama behind Big Mama Mojo’s Rajun Cajun Gumbo, the favorite gumbo of the citizens of Bayou (well most of them anyway).

Likes: Power, Money, Himself and Black Pudding.

Dislikes: The Little People, Zydeco Music, Bowling and Gumbo. In other words, Bayou.

Phil

Phil is something of an enigma to Bayou. The Zen-like minimalist makes his living as a restroom attendant at Gimpy’s Bowl-a-Rama and shows very little interest in bowling or music, though he does like a good bowl of Gumbo. His humble home, which is much more than it appears to be, consists of a cardboard box that holds a place of honor beside the dumpster behind Gimpy’s.

Likes: Simplicity and Harmony.

Dislikes: Noise and Discord.

Smilin' Jack

Smilin’ Jack could sell a ketchup popsicle to an Eskimo wearing white gloves. He is the owner of Smilin’ Jack’s Used Cow Lot, the only place in Bayou to get a set of wheels. Smilin’ Jack consumes more coffee than the entire population of Colombia so needless to say, he’s a little on the hyper side.

Likes: Good Sales and Coffee!

Dislikes: Water.

Need a set of hooves to get around? Smilin' Jack can set you up with his Rent-A-Cow lease. All top of the line cows with 4-hoof drive, automatic fly swatter, rope belt, airbags and of course leather included. If you're looking for something with a little speed try one of the new arrivals like the sporty croc de coupe with long tail steering and rear leg suspension so you can get around town in a flash and be sure not to miss any of the wonderful sites.

Seamus Finnegen

Seamus Finnegan is our local inventor. He’s a good-hearted old guy who wants desperately to invent that one thing that will be a great help to his fellow man and secure his place in the annals of history.

Likes: Gizmos and Gadgets.

Dislikes: Brain Cramps.

Mrs. Meyer & Mrs. Nash

Mrs. Meyer & Mrs. Nash are a couple of gossipy old birds who cast aspersion on all of Bayou. Despite their grump, curmudgeonly exteriors, they seem to have a soft spot for Zombie Todd though they complain endlessly about his ancestor who led the early settlers to their current home in Bayou.

Likes: A good bowl of gumbo, juicy gossip and not much else.

Dislikes: Grab a seat, this could take a while....

MEYER & NASH PARK BENCH – Sounds like a law firm, but it’s actually the permanent perch of Mrs. Meyer and Mrs. Nash. Located in picturesque De Boom National Park, it’s the best seat in town for the latest local gossip hot from the rumor mill (and you thought our gumbo was spicy). Looking for a place to rest your feet… forget about it, they’re not moving

Bowlerinas

The Bowlerinas are poetry in motion. Lovely and dainty, the bowlerinas are all grace and finesse on the alleys of Gimpy's Bowl-A-Rama. Not much is known about these nymphs of the lanes, but when they're around, they seem to cast a spell on everyone present.

Likes: No one knows.

Dislikes: No one knows that either.

The Ball Hogs

The Ball Hogs, with a combined weight of 8,000 pounds, are truly a force to be reckoned with. Most bowling alleys couldn't hold these guys! But you'll find them at Gimpy's Bowl-A-Rama shaking things up.

Likes: Food, especially food and bowling....and food.

Dislikes: Single serving items.
