Background: He was born and raised in the poorer part of Miami. His parents fought alot, but stayed together for the children, himself and his three sisters (one older, two younger), not the best choice. The household was filled with screaming, crying and threats. There was some abuse until Toby was 14, when he slugged his father and told him never again. And it was never again.

He was a poor student, more due to laziness nad lack of motivation than actual stupidity, and was advanced with his class due to his baseball talent. He was a pitcher and was beginning to get scouted by colleges and MLB when his junior year started. It was about that time that he started to run fevers, though he felt fine. Then one afternoon he was fighting with some of the neighborhood guys. He picked up a rock to throw it at one who was running away, and it was followed by fire. Luckily the guy survived and had no idea what happened, since Toby had run away. His father discovered his secret when he went out back to where Toby was, and saw fire dancing in his hand, being thrown into a neighbor's kiddie pool.

A fight between father and son resulted, with his father kicking him out of the house. Toby called his older sister in Trenton, NJ, who had a secret of her own. She was a low level empath. She took her brother in, but soon learned neither one could control his power, or teach him how to. He grew frustrated, his sister is the one person who went on a limb for him, and he was nothing but trouble, so he left. She caught up with him in New York City, and told him about the Xavier School. She went with him for enrollment, and he's stayed so far.

Personality: He's an angry young man who often stuffs it down so he appears mildly pleasant, but things can set him off. He's not comfortable with being a mutant, feeling it has basically ruined his life, but at the same time thinks his power is the coolest

Dislikes: His father, people who treat him like trash, brussel sprouts

General Apperance: Jeans that lay low on his hips, showing an inch or two of boxers, loose jerseys or tee shirts with logos, a baseball cap or a visor, high top sneakers. He usually has two facial expressions: a smirk or a glare. His language is profane.

Known mutant powers: Pyrokinesis

Invulnerability to heat and flame

Special Limitations: ~It appears as a stream from his hands until he shuts it off. He can ball it up in his hands, but when he throws it, it's still a stream. Obviously this won't work in any environment that's not fire friendly, eg vaccuum or underwater. And it can be put out like normal fire, and behaves like normal fire. Once he throws it, he has no control over it. He can throw at targets he can visualize with accuracy (due to his baseball background, not a mutant power). He can't curve it to go around corners or anything like that.
