My column
Ever since the early to mid 1990s i've been a big wrestling fan.I remember watching Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin and Razor Ramon in the WWF and it just amazed me how many people in the arena were into it, and how good of a job that they did wrestling and how good they used their words and expressions on the microphone. My first match I saw was the Iron man match at Wrestlemania 12 with Michaels and Bret Hart, and if you haven't heard it by now im gonna say it.Professional wrestlers ARE the worlds greatest athletes and entertainers.Sure, wrestling is fake, but does that mean they go into the middle of the ring and float or try to slice their opponent into three pieces like some magic trick. The answer to that is NO.Unlike football players or other athletes who get paid 80 million dollars just to play an easy sport, wrestlers get about 2-3 million dollars tops, and thats if their headliners like The Rock or Stone Cold.Wrestlers entertain thousands every night in different cities while other pro athletes sit on the bench making tripled of what wrestlers make.Oh yeah, their is no off season in wrestling so they have to work all year round. The only way they get off is on Holidays. So you gotta respect what they do.

Wrestling has been around since the early 1900s and its still around today better then ever.People who aren't exactly wrestling fans love to say things like..''oh it doesn't matter because its fake'' or ''why dont you watch something that's real.'' Well, actually some of it is real.Take for example the powerbomb. All of us know that wrestlers know hot to land, and all that means is that they land with their arms spread out.The powerbomb is real because you cant defy gravity.Yeah they get up from it but they still land hard on the mat.One day look at Bill Demott's powerbomb and you can hear the thud it makes when his opponent lands on the mat.And look at a match like hell in a cell, and take a wrestler like Mick Foley for example. When he got thrown off the cell, or took a barbed wire shot to the head and started bleeding, try to tell me that it was fake.Look at it like this... Millions of people like Spider-man, Spongebob Squarepants and other movies. Now take a minute to think. Is Spider-man real?. Is Spongebob Squarepants real?. Or is any other movie or video game real?.Once again your answer is NO.

Not to mention the WWE gets good ratings.Raw has been on tv for 10 years. That's the longest running show on cable today.Smackdown has been on tv for 4 years. That's the longest running show and highest rated show on UPN today.Yeah the ratings have decreased but that's because there's no more competion like WCW or ECW.But Vince Mcmahon is the genius of wrestling, he took rasslin' and made it wrestling. Now its worldwide in different countries.Believe me, if Mcmahon really wants the ratings to go up, or if his company is in danger, he can do it, he can make the product the best ever for ratings and for the fans.Look at what he did in the mid 1980s.Look what he did in the attitude era when WCW was the premiere wrestling show.

So, what im trying to say is that wrestling is the greatest form of athletic performance and entertainment.I have the utmost respect for the WWE, NWA-TNA and other wrestling companies out there. And its only gonna get better, especially in the WWE with Goldberg[yes, he will once again be loved by the fans] Triple H[you gotta give it to him for doing what hes done] and young guys like Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton and others.Yes wrestling is fake. But we wouldn't want it any other way.

Sorry to be a nit picker but even though athletes from other sports get paid heaps more there sports are no less difficult just less dates to work, and pro wrestling started in the late 1800's but other than that really well written

Sting screws fans at NWA show

To update the story we reported yesterday about Sting no-showing the post TNA meet and greet, apparently TNA allowed everyone inside the arena to take part in it. Sting was the only babyface to not sign. Some of the heels including Vince Russo and Sean Waltman did not stick around to sign either.

Real reason for no HBK on Raw

- To address the question of why HBK was not on RAW this past week, it appears that WWE had just not written him into the show; wanting to push Mick Foley, Kane, and Evolution to a heavy extent. Speculation from some was that HBK was pulled from the show as punishment for his remarks on WWE.com, but that's simply not the case. Nonetheless, there was heat on HBK for such remarks, as originally reported.

- Goldberg is starting to believe rumors originally brought to him by friends that WWE might be intentionally sabotaging his character. Originally, he simply blew off these remarks, but now is really considering their truth, noting the way he's been portrayed on WWE TV.

Mick Foley possibly facing Triple H at Summerslam
The rumor going around the WWE locker room is that Mick Foley will make his wrestling return at SummerSlam in August. It is a secret to no one that WWE wants Foley to wrestle and even people such as Jim Ross have commented by saying that they would not rule out.
However, the latest word is that it is possible that he could replace Goldberg in a match with Triple H for the RAW main event at SummerSlam. This would make Goldberg extremely upset, as he will probably feel like the company is pushing him down the card.

While this would certainly make sense, this would be the second time that WWE has postponed Goldberg vs. Triple H. However, this could spell disaster
