My Prayer for Aunt Elsie
January 23, 2000. Sunday morning at 6:23 Dad
called me to say that Aunt Elsie passed away this morning.
For many years she has battled with Multiple
Scrossis but Pneumonia took her from us.
I have been trying and trying, to come up
with a special prayer, but this morning I realized that any prayer, I prayed for
her would be special, because she is so very special.
Dear Lord
On this day you received in your kingdom, A
very special person. For many years she endured much pain and suffering, and now
Lord, it is over. And even though we morn our loss in her passing, We will
rejoice in her new beginning. For now she will have everlasting life, and, will
be joined with her father at last .
And lord, I know that many of us did not use
the opportunities we had to tell her how much we loved her, and how dear she was
to us, but that is OK, because I know in my heart that she did know.
But I just want to say it one more time,
because it means so much to me for her to know.
Aunt Elsie, I Love You
God bless you for everything
And Lord , please watch her mother, for she
is getting weak in her old age, and help her husband Robert, for his loss seems
great, and help all her children,Lord, for they need your guidance and
assistance to cope with their loss. Let them all know that the things of the
past are not important . That only the things of the future are what matter now,
because Aunt Elsie is a wise Lady, and always knew she was loved by all. And
help all her brothers, sisters, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Help them all
, Lord, to get through this passing . Let them all know, as I know, that she is
rejoicing in your kingdom. May every one of them know that her years of pain and
suffering are over, and she is now living in your kingdom in Heaven,
forever.
