Kidomaru is not dead.
You may not believe that he is alive, but there are so many reasons why he is.
-In the last picture we see him in, he is very much alive.
-Even in the anime, he talks forever after recieving a 'fatal' blow.

-In the anime, at least, Kidomaru mentions that he hadn't been hurt this badly "since Kimimaro," implying that he has survived such severe injuries before.
