Momo Adachi is just your average high school girl . . . or at least, she'd like to be. Ever since school started, Momo's had problems. She arrived two weeks late at the beginning of the year, and so missed the opportunity to get in with a group of people. All that was left was a girl named Sae Sasaki whom Momo had met during summer school.
Unfortunetely, many people assume that Momo is some type of playgirl because of her easily tanned skin and light hair. You see, she used to be on the school swim team. All Momo wants is to have friends, live carefree, and go out with the boy she's had a crush on since middle school, Toji. When things starting looking good for Momo, however, Sae comes in to take it all away. You see, Sae is the type who seemingly cannot be happy unless her happiness is taken from someone else--we learn that Momo hasn't been her first victim, either.

Sae does everything her devious and conniving mind can come up with to destroy the relationship that Momo and Toji develop. Momo's only shoulder to lean on at time's seems to be the wild Kiley--who apparently has feelings for Momo that go deeper than just friendship. However, Momo's heart belongs only to her Toji . . . or does it?
As Sae's tricks continue, Momo becomes fed up at times with how easily Toji seems to believe Sae rather than her. And always, it seems, Kiley is there when Toji is nowhere to be seen. As Sae rips the couple apart, Momo can't seem to help but look at Kiley in a new light . . .
