Pierce should be a standout small forward for years to
come. He has good size, is athletic and can create his own
shot. Pierce's game is silky smooth. He averaged 20 points
a game and nearly seven rebound a game as a junior. Pierce
comes from a winning program and knows how to play the
game. He has a good pull-up jumper and can explode to the
basket. Defensively, he's solid. Very few holes in his
game. |
Weaknesses |
The only real weaknesses Pierce has are he can be
turnover prone and his 3-point shot is streaky. Pierce
forced the action in traffic at times. From the perimeter,
Pierce made only 33 percent from the 3-point range. As a
sophomore in 1996-97, Pierce made 46 percent from beyond
the arc.
