Frank Vogel is entering his fifth season with the Boston Celtics and his first as an assistant coach. His first four seasons were spent as the team's Head Video Coordinator where he had a critical role in game preparation by supervising all video related needs. His primary responsibility was to utilize the latest technology in digital video editing to provide the coaching staff with a time efficient digital environment by which to study game footage. Vogel also played a key role in game adjustments as he analyzed footage of the first half of all games and prepared edits to show to the players and coaches at halftime. 

Vogel's outstanding work ethic, knowledge of the game, and reputation for long sleepless nights studying video has earned him a position on Jim O'Brien's coaching staff. As an Assistant Coach, Vogel will assist in team practices, individual workouts, and assist the coaching staff during games while continuing his duties as Head Video Coordinator. He will also assist in the advanced scouting of upcoming NBA opponents. 

Vogel spent his first three years of college as a starter for Division III Juniata College in Huntington, PA. After his junior year at Juniata, he transferred to the University of Kentucky, where he served as a student manager in an effort to further his experience and knowledge of basketball. While an undergraduate at Kentucky, Vogel also played on the Junior Varsity team in 1996, the year the Varsity Wildcats won the National Championship against Syracuse. After spending the following year as the Video Coordinator for the Wildcats, Vogel joined the Boston Celtics as the teams Head Video Coordinator when Rick Pitino was named Head Coach and President. 

Vogel graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1996 with a degree in Biology. He and his wife Jenifer were recently married and live in Belmont, MA.
