Now I'll tell one! Years after Laurel and Hardy have died and the definitive L&H biographies have been written, a movie so obscure that even L&H forgot they co-starred in it turns up!
But it's no tall tale. The second half of Now I'll Tell One, a Charley Chase short in which Chase plays a man filing for divorce, was re-discovered in 1992. Laurel played Chase's dim-witted lawyer, and Hardy had a bit part as a cop. Sadly, it's another of those Pathe numbers where the moviemakers do their best to keep Stan and Ollie from becoming a team. Why did they have to find this one and not Hats Off?
