To celebrate our website's tenth anniversary, we offer you a chance to win a copy of Scott MacGillivray's Laurel & Hardy From the Forties Forward - 2nd Edition (cover shown above). Carefully read and follow the rules below for your chance to win the book!
1. Prior to submitting a contest entry, view our website's page of Laurel & Hardy Lists. You may click on the page's following URL to take you to that page:

(Carefully review our L&H Lists page prior to submitting your entry. Any submitted entry that has more than a distant similarity to any list on the website's page will not be considered.)
2. A submitted entry should consist of a theme or motif that has been used in at least three Laurel & Hardy movies.
3. Only movies from the "official" list of 106 Laurel & Hardy movies should be considered, not any of either Laurel's or Hardy's solo movies. (You can find the official list on our website at https://www.angelfire.com/comics/lh/lhmoviereviews.html.)
4. An entry should follow the format of any of the lists shown on our L&H List page. The entry should list the theme or motif, followed by the titles of the movies which use the given motif. Example:
Artists: Slipping Wives, The Fixer-Uppers, The Flying Deuces.
5. Any entry which uses "generic" items (grass, sky, etc.) will not be considered unless the entrant points out something about the generic item that is unique and yet is related in some way to the story, plot, and/or characters of the listed movies.
6. All submitted entries become the property of the Leave 'em Laughing Tent website and will be posted on the L&H List page after the contest deadline. Unless the entrant requests otherwise, the entrant's name, city, and state will be posted along with the entry.
7. Entries may be submitted in two ways. E-mail entries should be E-mailed to stevebailey61@gmail.com. Paper entries should be mailed to Steve Bailey, Leave 'em Laughing Tent, 784 Marshview Drive, Jacksonville Beach, FL., 32250-2695.
8. Whether your entry is via regular mail or E-mail, the entry must have the author's name, street address, city, state, and ZIP code listed somewhere on the entry. The Leave 'em Laughing website will not disclose or post your address to anyone, other than as explained in Rule # 6 above.
9. Entrants may submit as many entries as they like prior to the contest deadline, provided that each individual entry follows all of the rules listed on this webpage.
10. Entries must be received by midnight Eastern Standard Time on Wed., March 31, 2010.
11. All entries will be judged solely by Steve Bailey, Grand Sheik and webmaster of the Leave 'em Laughing Tent. The author of the entry which is judged to be the most unique and entertaining will receive a free, postage-paid copy of Scott MacGillivray's book Laurel & Hardy From the Forties Forward - 2nd Edition. The winner will be posted on the introductory page of this website on Sat., April 3, 2010.
